I love pistachio and when I saw that one of my favorite brand "Eataly" has came out with a pistachio spread, I had to try it! I would say it did not disappoint. This spread has a strong roasted pistachio flavor, with the ingredients list showing this contains 41% roasted pistachio paste! The amount of ingredients in this is not too many and I am glad that I did not see any artificial sweeteners. The cocoa is processed with alkali, and generally I would prefer non-alkalized cocoa. It is slightly on the sweeter end for me so I usually need to have this with a cup of tea. It pairs great on a slice of toast as an afternoon snack. The spread is smooth and is not too hard to apply on toast. The price is edging on the higher end, but the quality of the ingredients show that it is definitely a case of "you get what you pay". The size is just right, and what I expect for the price. It comes in a glass jar with a twist-on lid to seal it. I do appreciate that they chose to use glass over plastic and it helps preserve the freshness better, without microplastics getting into the food inside. Momm'a mi'a kiss'a pea'a... a little Italian lingo there for you, meaning, this stuff is "the goods". Don't hold me to a direct translation there but that's the best I can recall from years gone by, between Chef-Boy-Ardee commercial's, that featured "Momma Mia", when I was a kid, and then the comedian Andrew Dice, from Brooklyn, during my college days, when "the goods" meant something that was, well, really good. Please forgive me. Seriously though, this is a fine, high end, delectable, fancy, gourmet, chocolate hazelnut spread, that is head over heels better than the leading such brand found in grocery stores. This is a rich, ultra tasty, smooth, creamy, soft, chocolaty, nut spread, made with real cocoa and sugar and blended with 50% specially branded hazelnuts. A true delight to enjoy. Made in Italy, this outstanding luxurious chocolate nut spread is easy to enjoy in a multitude of ways.... my first endevour so far, is as a marshmallow dip. That's right, my own invention I'm sure, but yes, I take the standard large sized marshmallow, and dip it right in the jar, and yum!. The mixture in the jar doesn't really need to be stirred, there's no layer of oil on the top that I saw, but after a few dips of a few marshmallows, I realized it's probably best to stir it, and sure enough, that made the mix more evenly smooth, so I'd say it's good to stir. And note one super beneficial aspect of this product is that it comes in a real glass bottle, unlike the leading store brand, which comes in plastic. This also has a metal lid... note that once you unscrew the lid, it's ready to eat, I didn't see a secondary seal or anything, but the product was obviously fresh and tastes fantastic.
