This design is an almost exact copy of the old-fashioned metal shoe trees from the 1960's. I know, because my old man had them back then. Today, they are made of plastic, except for the two support rods. They are easy to use, easy to adjust, light, durable, inexpensive, no sharp edges, safe to handle, really nice shoe trees. Some have claimed they are flimsy and break easily, but mine are doing just fine. These are so good, I bought another set. Read more

I use these inexpensive shoe trees in all of my shoes to help prolong their shape. I find these shoe trees to be affordable and they do the job. They are not as durable as the metal or cedar shoe trees, but, at their affordable price, I don't see that as a deterrent. Read more

These are completely fine for most uses, but if you're buying them for sneakers, note that they're not wide enough to fit the toeboxes of most retro Jordan/Nike models (I've tried 1s, 3s, 5s, and several Dunks). There's enough support in the midfoot to help the shoes keep their overall shape, but if you're looking to fill in toe creases, these aren't the right tools for the job. They're really meant more for dress shoes/boots and narrower sneakers, and for that purpose, they work flawlessly. Read more

These are okay. They don't compare to wooden shoe trees but they work. Read more

I bought these to use in my winter boots while cleaning, conditioning, and waterproofing them. I chose the men’s size for extra width, and the fit works well in my barefoot style boots. There’s a little wiggle room along the sides once inserted, so I wouldn’t expect them to stretch shoes, but they’re great for holding shape while drying or working on boots. The length adjusts to accommodate a wide range of sizes. I’ve used them in women’s size 10 and youth size 5 boots. It takes a bit of trial and error to find the right notch, but once set, they work as expected. (In my pics, blue lines mark the open notches to give an idea of adjustability.) For basic, plastic shoe trees, these do exactly what I hoped they would, and the set of 5 allows me to work on several pairs at a time. Read more
