I highly recommend this yoga mat. I have so many good things to say. I had been struggling with slipping on my mat and my whole mat sliding around. This mat does not slide around at all. The bottom is a sturdy rubber that holds the mat in place. The cork feels wonderful and not slippery at all. There is no funky chemical smell. It's beautiful with a pretty bird of paradise design. The strap is good quality. The size is long and extra wide. But the main reason I chose this was the thickness. I have poor balance and wanted as thin a mat as I could get. Even though this is thin, it still feels good because the rubber eases pressure. I don't have anymore stress on my knees as my thicker mat. This mat is quite a bit heavier, but after a week of bringing it to yoga class, I don't notice it now. Also, you have to fold it so cork is on the outside, so it takes a bit more care rolling it up. Cleaning is easy, I use a good yoga mat cleaner, just spray and wipe. This mat has everything I love, I can't believe more people don't have a cork mat it is so much better quality in every way. My new yoga mat is beautiful! It came just as described. The bamboo design is even more lovely in person. Personally, I chose this mat because I felt it was very eco-friendly being made of cork and natural rubber while also meeting the standards I wanted for comfort. I received a very nice handwritten note from the owner of this small business. The colors are better than I was expecting. It's a great cork mat with a nice dense rubber backing. I do mostly mostly vinyasa or hatha yoga, so I don't sweat a lot. I didn't have any trouble holding poses on this mat. It rolls up easily & is packable in my mat bag, isn't too heavy. Read more
