I wanted to give these 2 or 3 stars because I absolutely hated how they looked on me - but to be fair, that’s a me problem, not a pants problem. These corduroys are lovely: the fabric is soft, the drape is nice, the fit is exactly as described. They make no claims about slimming your waistline or performing miracles, and trust me, they did not. If your belly sticks out, these pants will happily put it on full display like it’s the main event. On someone else - someone without my particular midsection situation - they’d be adorable, classy, perfectly fall-ready, all the things. But on me? These pants are very comfortable and the material is very soft. The corduroy is fairly thick and seems durable. They fit true to size and were a good length. The back of the waist band has a little bit of elastic which prevents any gapping at the waist and also makes them more comfortable when you sit down. The pockets are a good size and functional. I really like these pants. They are a good weight. The material is soft. Not much stretch in the material itself but the waistband is mostly elastic except for a front panel between the pockets that have a zipper and button closure. They wash well, and wrinkles are taken care of with a quick steaming. I am 5’4” and wear a 16 pant comfortably. I ordered the XL and it fits true to size. The length is a tad long without a platform shoe or heel, but these look like they would be easy to hem if needed. The zipper was smooth and the button was tight. I ordered brown and it’s true to the website photos. All the seams are straight and tight. These are good quality and will make a great staple for fall and winter wardrobe. These are an all right find, and my reasons for the 4 stars is because it gives the look of corduroy but to me it isn't. The fabric is kind of thin, but the fit is great and comfortable do to it having an elastic waistband. The fabric quality is okay and so is the durability of them to wear to work or a casual outing.
