I thought this was a great introductory kit for soap making. I grow loofah and thought about making soap, but didn't want to buy a lot of items that might set me up for failure. I bought this kit because it was everything that I thought I would need to get started, and it was! To purchase these items individually would be so much more than this kit. My kids also enjoyed getting in on the action. So, overall, I would say this is an alright soap-making kit. You technically have to make your bars of soap. A few pieces of what I feel are valuable information: -The essential oils in this kit are not very fragrant at all and are faint in smell. Due to this, the soaps did not carry any scent after use of these oils. If there was a smell, it smelled musty and old. I ended up using my own essential oils and bought a separate peppermint one that is amazing. -The colors are basic coloring drops that seem like the ones you can find at the grocery store. Therefore, the colors look more like colors for children, which you can work around, but takes some finagling. -The soap melts are good, but if you are looking for sudsy soaps, this will not give you much, so just know that in advance. -The molds themselves are cool and the soaps popped out effortlessly! Overall, fun to try this kit for your first soap making but I would use different fragrances. Read more
