TRAINING WITHOUT STRESS: Great training tool, is working on my very stubborn dogs. I like that there are 100 stimulation levels, so that I have the ability to train my dogs without causing them distress. I set it at the lowest level necessary to get their attention. THIS IS NOT A “SHOCK COLLAR” (when used properly): People who say that stimulation collars are inhumane probably don’t realize that these modern stimulation collars are nothing like yesterday’s shock collar. I held it in my hand while applying stimulation, so that I could see what it felt like. It does not hurt, but it does get your attention. GIVES TONE OR VIBRATION OPTIONS: You can set it to give tone or vibration prior to giving stimulation, so dogs quickly associate the vibration with the need to pay attention. Half the time I don’t even have to use stimulation. WORKED ON MY 2 YEAR OLD RESCUES WITH NO PRIOR TRAINING: I have only been using it for 7 days, and I see more improvement in just 7 days than I have in their entire life. They actually seem calmer because they have clear consistent training. No anxiety from wondering what is expected of them and trying to figure out boundaries and rules. START LOW, GO SLOW: Just start your dog at a low setting, I started at three and worked my way up. I found a level 17 to be perfect for one dog, and a level 25 to be perfect for the other dog. MUST BE SNUG: Just make sure that the collar is snug enough to produce the same amount of stimulation every time. If it is too loose, the level will feel much different depending on the dogs position. USE WITH POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT: I recommend using it in conjunction with positive reinforcement. Every time they respond appropriately, they get a treat. This product has done wonders for my dogs. FOR THOSE ON THE FENCE: For those on the fence that are concerned about stress caused by stimulation, consider how stressful it is for a dog when they get yelled at or punished - and can’t figure out what they did wrong. READ THE MANUAL. THEN READ IT AGAIN: This is a pretty high-tech item, and definitely requires a full understanding of how to use it. I read the entire instruction manual several times before I put it on the dogs. It’s a little bit complicated at first, but reading the instruction manual and watching YouTube videos really helps. Give yourself a few days to practice before you actually put it on the dog. CHEAPER THAN THE ALTERNATIVE: And yes, $300 feels like a lot of money to spend on stimulation collars. However, after using them I realized that they saved me so much money. I had already done a consultation with a professional dog trainer, and was about to spend $1800 to get both my dogs professionally trained - that was the lowest quote I could find. With these stimulation collars, I do not need a professional trainer because I am able to do it myself successfully. And we are talking about two dogs that were pretty much feral when I got them. AMAZING - *Please do your research on how to properly use this device.* This e-collar has been an amazing training device for my very reactive, energetic malinois mix! I adopted him as a pit mix which I’m very familiar with, however later found out he is also mixed with malinois which is a high energy working breed. I was not very familiar with the breed or how to handle them, however, I did my research and learned if he’s not working he needs a lot of training and excercise. Prior to getting this training collar, walking was a nightmare because he was so reactive seeing other people or dogs on walk I was highly embarrassed by his behavior and honestly was having difficulty handling his pulling, lunging and force despite my best efforts. This collar has helped me be able to refocus his attention on me and get better control of him to be able to walk regularly and get that energy out. Within two days I was able to get him to heel on command and actually lay attention to me and only me. Now I can trust him off leash in contained circumstances (we’re still training, it’s only been a week) and have peace of mind that we can be a team. Again, please research how to properly use this training technique as many people use these collars as punishment when they should be use as a form of communication and training. If you are struggling with your dog and are feeling hopeless, I highly highly recommend this! My favorite features are that there are three settings : tone, vibrate and stim. You can use these all to your advantage. I also love that the stim feature goes up in increments of 1 so you can find the perfect adjustment to properly get your dog engaged without overstimulating them. I have tested it on myself and it is not painful, it feels similar to a TENS machine which is used to stimulate and relax your muscle at the chiropractor so it’s not necessarily a “shock”. However, if you set the wattage too high it is uncomfortable so please also be considerate of that and start low and work your way up just enough to catch your dogs full attention. I like to use one button on a lower stim that just gets his attention, a second stim with slightly higher wattage in case of emergency or high reactivity to snap his attention back to me quickly, and the tone setting so hopefully one day he’ll know the tone means stim is coming if he doesn’t respond and not even need to actually stim. Bought this in May of 2024 but wanted to learn how to use it before putting it on my dog. Finally got around to being trained on using it a couple weeks ago but by then, it stopped charging. You had to shove the charger into the receiver on the collar and hold it with a lot of force just to activate charging. I couldn't sit there and hold it like that for an hour or more each time so I check and it was under warranty (warranty is for 2 years!!). Just got off the phone with them and the process couldn't be easier. They're shipping me a new collar receiver that will be here in 5-6 days. Prior to this, the collar worked amazingly well and I'm looking forward to putting the replacement into play with my pup. Absolutely amazing! This E-Collar is worth every penny, the proof is in the results. As I've literally bought so many over the years, and I'd rather invest in this brand vs. buy several cheap ineffective collars that cannot even solve my dogs behavior issues as they end up either not being strong enough or they rile up the dog (raise cortisol levels vs. lower). Pros: It's battery is absolutely amazing, it's waterproof (no need to worry if your pup jumps in the river for a dip), strong enough for most pups but does go higher if needed, has light functions and tracker, it also has amazing hypactic feedback and doesn't lag, can use pavaloni tone or tapping, not too bulky in size, but effective for off-leash drills or trips to the park.
