This is high quality and fits even short HOTAS mounts.

MBOctober 20, 2025

If I were to go out and try to source all of these parts separately and have a custom metal plate cut, it would likely cost 3x this. For roughly $30 you get all metal parts that do not feel cheap. The metal top plate is very robust. All the hardware you need for multiple setup configs are included. Even a mousepad is included which unfortunately does not match the shape of the platform but there is one included none the less. I ended up ordering an additional mousepad ($6) that was oversized and traced and cut it to the exact shape and size. Then just used some super sheer double sided tape to attach it. So my total cost was under $40. I took a ton of pics from all angles and attached them to this review. You may have noticed that my HOTAS desk mounts are the short ones. I was a little concerned this bracket that goes from my right stick platform to the mousepad platform would be to big to mount. Its a very tight fit with no room to spare on the right stick mounts vertical shaft. The width of that adjoining is just right. Once all the bolts are tightened down there is absolutely no flex or wobble. I built myself a pull out under desk keyboard tray a few months ago and originally had it large enough to accommodate my mouse as well. Now with this side mounted mouse platform, I was able to cut it down to match the keyboard only and bring my HOTAS about 4" closer together. Making my whole setup more compact and more comfortable to use. Now when I need to use my mouse, its a very easy and unobstructed movement vs before. This feels like a much more natural position to have your mouse for sim use. I highly recommend this mount. You totally get your moneys worth! -Before and after pics of the included mouse pad and my custom cut one- Read more

A Sturdy Little Platform That Helps Keep My Sim Setup Organized

Maddie MayDecember 3, 2025

This metal mount platform arrived well made and surprising sturdy for its size. The finish is smooth, the edges are clean and it feels solid enough and has versatility to work with a joystick, small keyboard or mouse during gaming or flight-sim sessions. Once mounted, it stays put - no wobble, no shifting, which I appreciate . The hardware fits together cleanly and the platform attaches easily to a desk mount or HOTAS setup. I liked that it gives me a bit of extra space exactly where I need it. It helps keep my desk less crowded. It's a value, by being a simple but genuinely helpful piece of hardware to which I'm trying to fine tune my sim station. It feels solid in use and adds just enough extra "workspace" to make things more comfortable. Read more

The materials are all solid.

This is a VERY interesting little doodad...thing. It's meant to attach to a HOTAS flight controller or a special chair frame. But, I have neither of those. What I have is a Voice Over Booth / Sound Booth. So I've used it to assemble and attach to the wall in my booth. It allows me to have a mouse in my booth. Basically, this mouse stand is very versatile. You can likely attach it to nearly anything. You could even attach it to a clamp for your desk. It's a little tricky putting together. But part of that is being able to go off the directions and customize it in any way you like. The metal pieces all feel solid. There's no sag or give in the flat mouse section as well. Also, importantly, the metal doesn't squeak or anything while in use. This could be just what you're looking for. I recommend it if you're handy and looking for an interesting way to use your mouse. Looks great and very durable

Ohio_MattAugust 31, 2025

I got this to attach to my powercage weight bench, which I use as a sort of standing desk (with a fitness theme). It looks fantastic with it, and it feels solid as a rock. And because it's made of t-20 (x2) standard extruded aluminum rail, it's very versatile, you can find all kinds of little 3D printable brackets and accessories designed to attach to rails just like this, in case you want to add additional wire management or a pen holder, etc. My 3D printer is made of very similar materials, so this mousepad really fits in nicely sitting next to it. I'm still fabricating a special bracket I'll need to attach it to the benchpress, when that's finished I'll add some photos of how it came out. I docked one star because one of the parts (an L-bracket for attaching two rails at 90 degrees from each other) had a slight defect, where a chip of metal from the machining process was apparently wedged into a hole of the bracket and got enameled in place when it was painted - this created slight complications during assembly, I didn't immediately notice it, but kept struggling to get the bolt to fit through the hole. Once I saw the problem it was easily corrected with a pair of tweezers. I haven't had any issues yet with the bolts working themselves loose from the t-nuts. If that become an issue over time, I will use a bit of Loctite (blue) on them and that should take care of it. Read more

Did not serve as a great mouse relocation solution, but as a stand in general its great.

SkylerOctober 11, 2025

I originally purchased this metal mouse pad mount platform by EG STARTS to help manage my limited desk space. My desk doubles as a full workspace, housing everything from soldering irons and components to a fume extractor and various tools. I was looking for a way to relocate my keyboard and mouse off the desktop to free up room, so I decided to give this mount a try. Initially, I wasn’t impressed with how it positioned the mouse—whether mounted to the front or side of the desk, it felt awkward. However, the kit includes multiple versatile mounting options, and I eventually found a better use for it: as a small under-table stand for my soldering station and bench power supply. In that role, it’s been excellent. The platform is heavy-duty, holds a decent amount of weight without flexing, and effectively clears space from my desktop. While it may not be ideal as a dedicated mouse pad mount, it’s a solid, adaptable platform that can serve a variety of purposes. I’m glad I ordered it and would recommend it to others looking for creative workspace solutions. Read more
