Worth it! Just for dirt it captures!
Iv had this mat for a little over month now. We have 2 labs, 3 boys so there’s 5 of us. and this is our main entrance at the back of the house to the back yard. We recently had construction and the yard was dug up. So lots of mud, with rain, and snow. This rug has been washed, several times, after being cut a slit in it so it would go around the floor moulding here by the door better, I have the excess tucked under itself in front of the door here. So after I cut it I washed it did have some of the fluffy stuff come off in the washer, but that was to be expected, I also expect more of it to come off than it actually did. I had only had a few pieces actually come off. It has a great rubber grip on the bottom, I think I did toss it in the dryer. Again very minimal if any at all came off.( After the 1st wash after cutting it.) The next wash nothing came off. Now in between washes Iv just shaken it out outside and I will say it traps a lot of dirt!!! As you can see it’s time to wash it again. Now I have not looked at the edge of the rug where it’s sewed an edge of fabric around the whole thing since I cut it. (I can sew simple things, so if the edge starts to come apart I can just hand sew it to tack it in place from unraveling more.( now I could hot glue a dot of glue to do the same thing since I cut it on purpose) But since most of you aren’t probably going to be cutting it, it will hold up great with no issues. I was surprised at the quality of this rug. Definitely worth what I paid for. I love the thickness of it, I definitely plan to buy another long runner, Because my dogs come inside running at full speed and tend to slide once they hit the kitchen floor. Which will help with more dirt trapping and the mud. (Less time washing the floor(I’m all for it) The rug really doesn’t budge.(I have dogs that run and slide into it.) so for me it does, I just fix it and move on. Over all very happy with it!
