Flawless operation, easy to connect and set up.

The Marquis of Melbourneβ€”January 5, 2026

Flawless operation , easy to connect and set up. I have programmed (Alexa routines) them all to control various things in my home. Window fan, bathroom heater, battery charger and Christmas tree for example. These are 15 amp, so they can handle a 1200 watt load. Read more

I have so many different smart plugs and many of them are a major pain to connect. These were a breeze! Easy to add in SmartLife app, work well, and a great value for the money. When I need more, I will definitely stick with these. Read more

They just work. Preferable to WiFi version. With Power Monitoring.

F. G. Gatesβ€”December 5, 2025

I went nuts replacing all my light switches, pool pump switches, garage door opener control, and anything with a switch in my house with Tuya-compatible SmartLife products. I quickly found out that I needed to install additional WiFi access points because ~100 2.4GHz WiFi home automation participants overwhelmed the radio capacity of my2.4 GHz WiFi. Now I have 90% of my switches on either an upstairs or a downstairs WiFi SSID. The rest I need to keep on a separate WiFi for operational or range purposes. Then I started adding smart plugs so I can turn things on / off remotely too. I travel often to being able to hard reboot cameras and WiFi extenders or mesh nodes is useful, as well as being able to turn on PCs and servers remotely. I started bumping against some ill-defined upper limit on my now 3 active Home Automation WiFi access points, and running out of acceptable 2.4GHz WiFi bands in competition with my neighbors. Time to start transitioning to Zigbee. I wish I had gone Zigbee at the start. Zigbee establishes a sort of mesh arrangement so that control messages may be relayed through non-participating devices. That is much better then the rigid hub-and-spoke logical arrangement of each WiFi Access Point and WiFi Smart Home devices. BONUS: I had not realize until these smart plugs arrived but there is a sophisticated power-monitoring feature in them. I now have 24 of these in service, though I may move some around later once I have collected a month of power data for my own OCD interests. While knowing what my washing machine or dishwasher uses in a single, or a month of N washes, is interesting there is a risk of my accidentally cutting power mid-wash, or my getting in trouble with my wife. Other features: you can set them to power on cold as either ON, OFF, or last state. Very useful for when we have a power cut or a circuit breaker trips. The boot time seems to be of the order of 5-10 seconds before they establish contact with other Zigbee nodes, but setting the memorized state occurs in under 2 seconds. I use the inexpensive Tuya Bluetooth / Wifi / Zigbee gateway. If I were to go around again I would get the gateway which has an Ethernet port. So far, the WiFi connection between my IP network and the Zigbee world hasn't failed, but it will day. Read more

Solid choice for my smart home

Nick..β€”December 15, 2025

These Zigbee smart plugs were exactly what I needed for my smart home project. I recently began a journey of setting up Home Assistant with a Zigbee antenna. I wanted to offload the clutter on my wifi network and these outlets work perfect. They are now scattered around my house. Some are in use, others act at range extenders. Through my Home Assistant software I can see which devices are connected to and through each device and these worked great for not only being a smart outlet but also providing the range I need for my 4500 sq ft home. The size is much smaller than my previous TP-Link outlets, which worked well but would clutter my wifi network with chatter. These are very easy to setup and use. Read more

Easy to Connect and a Great Price

A Reviewerβ€”September 21, 2025

These smart plugs are exactly what I needed and at a great price. They're easily discovered and connect to the SmartLife and/or Tuya app which lets you create device groups, rooms, and schedules to automate tasks. Becuase SmartLIfe works with (can be linked to) Google Home, the outlets auto-appeared in the Google Home app shared with others. Thus far, these outlets have stayed connected to the network and app. Even when the power cut off and on, the outlets automatically reconnected to the wifi. One issue to note is during setup, a few plugs detected the wifi network but the app didn't automatically connect them. Typing the wifi network name and passwod into the app worked to finish setup. With one outlet scheduled to turn on a 5a and off at 9a M-F and another outlet switched on and of many time times a day, I'll update my review in a year or when the first device fails. Read more
