Works very well getting juice out of citrus. I don't think the product pictures do a good job of illustrating the fact that this thing is basically a screw jack that pushes the reamer up against the top lid to both ream out the pulp but more importantly press it with a decent amount of force. I was able to get pretty much all of the available juice out of both oranges and limes with just a single cycle. It is important that you make sure both the container and lid are properly locked in past the detente as there doesn't seem to be any safety which checks that, but it pushes hard enough that you get some movement between the pieces, although it seems plenty strong enough in my use despite being all made of plastic. I also had doubts about it being rechargeable battery powered, but again the mechanism that it operates with alleviates issues there as each cycle only takes a few cycles. It works quite fast and doesn't make much noise. It really is portable if you have a reason to juice where there's no power easily available. The battery is about 9.5Wh (7.4V nominal with 1.3Ah) and it uses 45W to run, so should dozens of runs before it needs a recharge. Note that the fact it relies on squeezing the citrus halves against the lid means that it won't work well on pieces that aren't full hemispheres, so you do need to strictly keep under the container's 4 inch diameter for fruit size as you can't really juice slices or quarters. The size of the juice reservoir is also a bit low. The fact that it's a screw jack means the axle must move vertically through the bottom hole in the container, so while it has a gasket it isn't very watertight. Exceeding the max level of liquid will have it start trying to leak out between the container and the base. The max liquid level is only 3/4 of a cup, so if you're trying to make full glasses of juice, you'll be draining this pretty much 1-2 times per fruit if it's on the larger side like an orange or grapefruit. Again, you must stay under 3/4 of a cup, so you'll be emptying it usually under 1/2 a cup of liquid as you need to leave space for the next load of juice. The juice it makes is pulp free. The slots in the basket on the bottom of the reamer are pretty narrow and didn't allow any pulp through when I used it. I wish they had included different versions of this part with bigger holes available for those of us who like some pulp. The media could not be loaded. I was a little skeptical that this would juice as well as I do by hand, but I have to say I think it does better! I cut up 4 oranges, and this made short work of them and created about 1.5 glasses of orange juice. The skin came out almost dry. There is a decent amount of thick pulp left in the machine after a couple of oranges and I chose to pull it out with my finger before doing the next orange It was easy to clean when I was done, but I would do it right after and not let it dry. It was easy to use, though it does a strange thing where after you think it is done it pauses and goes back up a little. The juice was good, not pulp-less, but not super pulpy either. I like that it is compact and doesn't take up too much space, though it is still larger than a hand juicer. I am not sure why they decided to make it cordless, Needing to worry about the charge state when you get it out is kind of a pain, especially since you aren't supposed to leave batteries fully charged for long periods. I can't really imagine needing to make juice and not having power around. Speaking of charging, the light blinks alternating green and red when charged, which is contrary to what the instructions say, but it doesn't seem to effect performance. The one big charging disappointment is that the USB-C port is not PD compatible, meaning it won't work with a fancy high power charger, it only really works with a USB A to USB-C cable. Read more
