Up to par with other sharpeners. Well packaged, good instructions. I put it to use immediately and did not disappoint. Sharpened my cutting knives, butcher hatchet, and the more difficult paring knives. I have not tried it on scissors yet. Of course, this is not made for serrated knives, be smart, don’t try it. I used my new knife sharpener once, to sharpen kitchen knives. I got through six knives and, the sharpener stopped working. wasn't aware that was all it took to burn it up.
