I don't shave with a blade anymore because it takes too long due to my beard texture. I started shaving with an electric about 10 years ago but never got the close clean shave I'd gotten with a blade. I started with a Braun, then over about the last 5 years I used a Panasonic Arc-4. About a year ago, the shave from it decreased in effectiveness, DESPITE changing the blades and foil cover. It still required many more passes-over, left irritation when it didn't used to, and it took longer (over 10 minutes if I wanted a good shave). Since then, I've tried virtually all other name brand razors: an upgraded Braun, a Wahl, a Remington, 2 other Panasonics, a Manscaped, and a Norelco. Same result as the Arc-4, if not worse, and ALL OF THEM irritated my neck (thank the stars Amazon takes back returns for 30 days!). So, I went back to the Arc-4, but then I had an out-of-the-box thought; why not try a no-name unbranded inexpensive razor? As such on a last-resort lark, I bought this one, and guess what: GREAT SHAVE! I've used it twice, and got the same great shave, with VERY little irritation! Today it only took 7-8 minutes, and I haven't even cleaned it yet! The size, power, and ease of using it are more than adequate, and it seems like it's tough & won't fall apart tomorrow! We'll see how long it lasts, but for $20, I'm highly satisfied with it so far! Read more
