The cover stays on well with the help of a magnet. The power button can be locked so it won't turn on when carrying it. Charges fast. Full Disclosure: I received this as part of the Amazon Vine program for review. I've been looking for an electric shaver which works well for me for a long time. The round ones don't really seem to work so I thought I'd try a straight/foil shaver type. This has a lot of features I like- it's compact, it has a detail trimmer thing, it is water proof, and it's easy to clean. The battery life is good, it charges quickly, and it feels fairly well built and durable. And it works for me... ok. I'm not sure what the issue isn't with the shaver but rather with my facial hair. I'm not sure if my facial hair has gotten more coarse since I was in college or if the holes in shavers have gotten smaller but they all miss a ton of my facial hair leaving me with patchy stubble. But I don't think it's this shaver's fault because it has happened with Remmington and Norelco shavers across the price range they offer. But none of that is the reason I am taking away one star- I'm taking away one star because I can't find replacement internals for it. That sort of makes this eventually become e-waste.
