Be prepared to spend some time to get a close shave. A good magnifying mirror would be helpful. Battery life is excellent and clean up is a snap. Protective cover will not fit tightly so you will likely not use it. I like that it recharges from my phone charger not some specific cable or device. Read more

I have used rotary shavers for many decades, all of them Norelco. My current one is a 10+ year old Norelco 3000 Series. This Sweker shaver seems very similar to the Norelco: 3 floating rotary heads, a pop-up trimmer, and is fully waterproof. But it also has more modern features such as a battery life display, and a type C USB port for charging. The pop-trimmer is shorter than the Norelco and it therefore is a little more difficult to see where it is cutting. But that is a minor nit. The shaver itself is the issue: When shaving with it, I have the sense that I need to press it to my face with more force to make it shave well. It shaves as close as my old Norelco, but is just not as comfortable to use. I was hoping that I would become accustom to it after a few days. But after nine days of use, I went back to my old Norelco, and it felt so much better...like putting on an old shoe. I was initially mystified because the shavers are so very similar. But looking closely at the head design, I could see that the Norelco head has a slightly convex curve at the surface, where the Sweker is dead flat. That seems to make all the difference in the comfort of use. The battery life of the Sweker shaver appears to be excellent: after nine days os use, the display is at 87%. Read more
