This has worked exactly how it was intended to! I just recently shaved my head due to my hair thinning out. I needed something that wasn’t going to irritate my skin, this thing works wonders. The better life is great, it’s not loud and is versatile! I 100% recommend! Read more

This is a high quality shaver, but there's a couple things about it I wish were better. Still though, this is a wonderful product, and I think just about anyone would be happy with it, whether it's for oneself or as a gift. It feels nice in the hand - has a good weight to it, doesn't feel hollow or dinky. Simultaneously, I think the plastic used on most of the device could be a little better feeling, but it's not a big deal. There's a guard for the blades included, and it attaches magnetically. The head itself is also attached magnetically. It's very easy to remove and put back on. Makes it easy and straightforward to clean. As far as actually cutting your hair, it depends. I would NOT recommend shaving in the shower with this - it completely slips over the hairs when they're wet. It took twice as long to shave as normal. Shaving dry, and cleaning the stray whiskers on my face? It was excellent. Cut clean, cut close, cut quick. Took a fraction of the time it normally does with a razor and shaving cream. It IS waterproof, so you can use it in the shower if you really want to. Maybe I was using it wrong somehow. I like the feature to lock it, so it doesn't turn on by accident in a bag or something. The one thing I worry about is the longevity, and I don't mean the device itself. For long term usage, you'll need to replace the shaver head at some point. But when I searched around for a replacement from this brand, Rayi, I couldn't find anything. I only did a quick, cursory search, so maybe that's part of it, but the instructions tell you only to use Rayi brand replacements, yet doesn't provide a link or anything on where to find them. I worry that this is inevitable e-waste - a device waiting to be thrown away when it is no longer useful. Overall, I think this is a fantastic device for shaving quickly, but I'd recommend looking into whether you can source replacement heads for it or not before buying. Read more

This electric razor is really great. The motor is one of the quickest I have used. I normally shave with a blade but in a pinch or to do a touch up this does the job great. It is not as close as a blade, but trust me you’ll look better using this than nothing at all. Best thing I like besides the compact size is the lock for the button. You can throw this in your bag and not have to worry about it accidentally turning on. It requires a long press to be turned on. Brilliant. The head is magnetic so it makes cleaning very easy. You just pop it off and on. It does not come loose on its own. Pretty strong magnets. Switching blades looks easy too. I have not had to do that but can see how it’s done taking the top off for cleaning. This charges with usb c making it compatible with just about any charger anyone has. Charge holds for quite a while too, so thumbs up for great battery longevity. This is rated as waterproof. I have not used this in the shower. I’m sure this will stand up to water and splashes without a problem. I have not had any skin irritation from this either. Overall quality, build and performance for me are all there. Very reasonable price as well. I’m pleased with this and definitely recommend! Read more

I picked up this RAYI razor, and overall, I am really impressed. It looks super stylish sitting on the counter, but the performance is what actually matters. Pros: The battery on this thing is a beast. It charges up super fast with a C-cable, and the charge holds for like 60 days of storage. I used it for 4 days straight, and the power output didn't drop at all. It uses these 3 blades that actually lift the hair up before cutting it, which gets it really close to the skin. Cons: The only downside is that it doesn't really cut long hair that well. The pictures make it look like it can handle longer stuff, but in my experience, you need to trim it down first. You know, use those professional clippers you have zeroed out that don't give a close shave and leave much stubble (seen in picture, then next picture is the Clean Close shave given by RAYI) Overall: Honestly, this RAYI shaver has pretty much replaced my professional clippers. It gives me a shave that is just as close as a manual razor, but without any of the irritation. I even splashed 91% isopropyl alcohol on my face right after shaving to test it, and I had zero burn. If you want a super close shave without the razor burn, this is it. Read more
