Saved a son from buying another refrigerator. When the filter gets to full the fridge started leaking a little water out. Once the refrigerator had a new one in it, it worked perfectly. Most refrigerators tell you to replace it more often than they did, of course. They had it in for a few years. Kinda gross, but to know that it kept working (despite the filter) was good. It's not one of those things you think you will need often. Amazon helped identify it and get it to us quickly. Wish we had done that first instead of shopping in two super sized, limited stock, hardware stores. Read more
The first step to truly outstanding water!
The filtration system in my Electrolux is outstanding. I do change the filter regularly and I can say it is the best tasting refrigerator water I've tasted. I should add that I now double filter the water for straight drinking and for making coffee.I use a Britta pitcher (filtering the reefer water a second time) with the Electrolux water. This is an amazing method for making the best coffee ever. Drinking the double filtered water surpasses or equals virtually all commercial bottled water I've tried. I had been a regular user of Smartwater. I really like its flavor. But this water is the perfect substitute for Smartwater and saves many dollars in bottled water costs. So change your filter regularly, and consider double filtering. Read more

Easy to Install
Filters are filters and expensive so I don't know that you get "value for your money." I would rather have an external filter then a 45 dollar filter I have to install in the fridge which is supposed to be regularly replaced. This one installed easily and works so it is a good product. Read more
