I purchased an LG Stainless Steel Fridge from Sears. It notifies you via the LED lights on the door when it's time to replace the filter. I received this notification 6 months after purchase. Once I decided to actually replace the filter, a couple of months after I was notified, I went to Lowes to look for LG filters. I went there because it's really close to my house. Unfortunately, they were out of filters that would fit my appliance. Therefore, I went back to Sears and requested an LG filter to fit my refrigerator and the sales lady assured me they had it. She went and picked up one, said "this is it", rang it up and it cost approximately $75.00. FYI, it was Kenmore brand. Honestly, being given a different brand would have normally been ok, except 1) I was a little upset that it wasn't LG when she said they had it and 2) I felt it was expensive. However, I took it home since I was already 2 months overdue with changing it and really had no reference as to how much these things should cost. Before I opened the box, I decided to go online to seach for replacement filters and sure enough found them on Amazon. LG brand. About half the price of the one I had. I decided I could wait another week or so to replace the old filter and ordered this one. I of course returned the Kenmore. Once my new filter arrived, I installed it pretty easily. I removed the old filter, snapped this one in place and reset the filter notification LED (It took me a while to figure out how to reset it. On my model, you have to press the notification icon for 3 seconds after installing a new filter.). This filter works great (water flows as it should) and my water tastes good. So I'm glad I checked online and very satisfied with this purchase. And maybe most importantly, I didn't have to worry about "fit" as it was the exact same filter as my old one. Read more

Iβve been using the LG LT700P filter for a few years now with my LG French door refrigerator, and it consistently delivers clean, crisp water and clear ice with no aftertaste or issues. β
Pros: β Authentic OEM filter β Fits perfectly with no leaks or error codes on my LG fridge β Improves water taste noticeably β No chlorine or chemical taste, and ice cubes come out crystal clear β NSF 42 & 53 certified β Removes both aesthetic impurities (taste, odor, chlorine) and contaminants like lead and mercury β Easy 2-minute install β Twist-and-lock design makes replacement quick and mess-free β Lasts the full 6 months β I easily get about 180β200 gallons before needing to swap it β Cons: β Slightly pricier than off-brand alternatives, but worth it for the reliability and certification β Youβll want to run about 2β3 gallons through it after installation to flush out any carbon particles π‘ Tips: β Set a calendar reminder every 6 months so you donβt forget to change it β Label the install date on the filter or fridge to easily track usage β Only buy from trusted sellers to avoid counterfeits (this listing was legit!) π Comparison: I tried a cheaper generic filter onceβit didnβt fit quite right, and the water had a weird taste. This genuine LG filter has never let me down. π§ Bottom Line: If you own an LG fridge that uses this filter model, donβt cut corners. This LG LT700P is reliable, easy to install, and delivers consistently clean, great-tasting water. Worth every penny for peace of mind. Read more

I got this because my refrigerator requires one and this is a good product but I have hard water with a lot of lime in the water and it does not filter out all of the lime. My ice cubes still have mineral deposits in them. I didn't realise this until I let my ice melt in a glass. I am sure it filtered out some of the minerals but I was a bit disappointed. It hasn't been a problem with the taste of my water and my water is from a well and does have a taste without the filter so I know it is doing some good. I need to change my filter more often because of the very hard water. When I change the filter the old filter is a lot heavier because of all of the minerals collected. I am glad I have it but I wish I could find one that filters out all of the minerals. Read more
