This is a real workhorse. And it really does, "cut,' dog hair, preventing it from getting tanglesd up in the brush mechanism. This is simply done by pressing with one's foot, on a lever that is built into the base of the machine. Very easy. I previously used one of the robot style vacuums on my floor when a visitor brought a long haired dog, that shed a lot! The hair got tangled up in the wheel of the robot Vacumn and it had to be plucked out with needle nosed plier.s So this machine was great. It also works very well on my carpeted stairs. The only drawbacks are that the battery only lasts for about 15 minutes and takes about 1 1/2-2 hrs. to recharge and I found the instructions to be very confusing, but figured it out without them. I have had an Electrolux Vacumn before and find them to be extremely well made, lasting for years. I have hopes that this one will also have longevity. Read more

So far, I am loving this vacuum. I bought it because I wanted something to pick up small debris off my luxury vinyl planking. The suction is great as is the maneuverability. It really picks up the dirt well. The little handheld vacuum is easy to pull off from the vacuum cleaner to use and it’s very lightweight. I hope it stands up to the test of time. Read more

Been using this for a few months now. Bought it to replace a dyson pet vac when the swivel head on it started leaking. Definitely superior to the dyson for less money. The construction is more solid and the light is a nice bonus. Pros It's an Electrolux. I have a canister that I inherited from my mother. Not sure how many decades old it is. Still runs and cleans like a shop vac. If this lasts half as long I'll be happy. Solid construction and great vacuum. Light to see where you're cleaning. Two power settings (I always use the highest). Easy to charge. Great design for removing the hand held vac to empty or use in the car. Cons Haven't found any yet. Not sure how long it runs but I've never had the battery die when cleaning my whole house. 3/2 1,500 sq ft house. I might have to stop to empty it depending on if the cat is shedding more than usual. UPDATE about a year of use: Cons: Shuts off after running for 30-60 seconds. Battery is fully charged. Press start and it will run for 30-60 more seconds. Nozzle is too small and clogs on pet hair making it unusable. You'll h ave to snake the pet hair out of the nozzle several times when using it. Summary: Went from what I thought was a good product to the worst vacuum I've ever owned. Read more

We bought this vacuum after reading reviews. It has met our expectations of cleaning the hardwood floors, battery lasting at full power for at least 15-20 minutes, and is easy to clean. It is easy to remove the dust cup. The roller comes off easily. No tangled hair. The dual power modes are helpful on floors and rugs. Filters are easy to change. It's light weight. If you're taller than 5'9"-5'11", you may have to bend. A few downsides are - It's a pain to find parts (we wanted to buy a second roller just for rugs) - Dust cup has corners where it's hard to get to clean 100% I recommend it as a second vacuum for daily vacuuming. The charging plug is on the bottom of the charging stand. I found this unusual. This cordless vacuum is awesome! I received it today and used it on the mats and runners in my house. Wow, it really cleaned it well. I bought this as a replacement for the Shark, which charged on a stand. Unfortunately, it was dying. The Electrolux works much better. I like this for convenience so that I can do a quick clean-up. Read more

This is Vacuum is the BEST I have every owned, Hands down. This vacuum is well designed, easy to use, and works as good or better than the big expensive ones. I recommend it to all that are still using the big and bulky vacuums to give this unit a try to see how well made this vacuum really is. Read more

Great suction. The charge lasts for 45-50 minutes at a time. You need to empty the collection cup often because it's small. ALSO, clean the filters and roller regularly. When the filters are dirty or the roller can't turn freely because of hair, the vacuum will overheat and shut itself off after a few minutes. I found this out the hard way. I thought it was a battery issue, but it was a maintenance issue. Read more

It is difficult to empty- Cleaning power is ok but also weird. Suction power seems two high for carpet as it's hard to push. Better for bare floors. But really rolls over and misses a lot. It is difficult to seat on the charger- need to get it just right. I considered returning it from the beginning. But waited thinking I would get used to it. Now it keeps shutting off after 60-90 seconds no mater how long it is on the charger. I can turn it back on and it goes for a minute and again shuts off. I'm in the process of contacting the manufacturer. UPDATE what a customer service NIGHTMARE It took multiple chats and calls (not exaggerating when I way I spend nearly 2 hours at this point) to get them to finally agree to send a new battery pack (still under warranty). Eventually received the battery pack and have the same problem. I had to start the process over again- including providing proof of purchase and images of the serial number tag for them to send a replacement vacuum. I received no verification that my documenttion was accepted and no shipping notification. I called again was told it was shipped waited on hold 20 minutes for her to come back on the line and tell me they had no shipping tracking information to share- but according to their 7-10 day window I should have it....Friday or Monday. Seriously? I had a previous model to this brand that was somewhat better. I was looking forward to this upgrade. Both models were less impressive than the similar shark cordless. Read more
