Great quality, but note walls are all dead flat
I'm pretty impressed with the quality for the money. This is a reasonably thick gauge of stainless steel, not flimsy at all. Welds are clean, surface finish is attractive and without blemishes, and all angles are square. Unless you really like the look of a tiled niche, I can't imagine you could build one yourself any cheaper, especially when you consider the time and materials involved. Note that the walls are all flat; there is no angle on any of them that would allow water to run out. That hasn't been an issue for me, since I installed this on the far wall opposite the shower head, and thus it doesn't see any water except for what's on my hands when I move bottles in and out of the niche - not enough to pool up and required drainage anyways. If you're planning to mount this in reach of the shower head, though, you might consider whether a little pooling water in the bottom could cause issues, like if you plan to keep wash towels or soap bars in there. So first off it has no slant to it on any side so if it’s low so water hits it you need to wipe out. Second the lip is only maybe 3/8” so your opening has to be right on. I hope it won’t rust time will tell. And yes stainless steel does rust. Only the best grade doesn’t Read more

Alternative to a medicine cabinet
