I bought this for my 82 yr old mother and she just called to tell me how much she loves it. I recently convinced her to ditch her microwave for a non toxic air fryer. This small model is perfect for her and cooks her food almost as fast as the microwave, without the funky texture and keeps all the nutrients. Win, win, win! She’s happy so I’m happy. She has trouble with small buttons and has very poor eyesight so the simplicity of the temp and time knobs is a plus, like the toaster oven she was already used to. I didn’t have to teach her how to use a new gadget, as she calls it. She uses the round unbleached parchment liners, so there’s really no clean up. With the huge microwave gone, her counter is open and she has so much room with just her cute air fryer and electric kettle. I love it, too! Read more

I had one of these for 5 years. Only reason it broke was because I dropped it and the handle cracked off. This is a no frills air fryer. Does one thing and does it well. Heats up fast and can handle reheating or cooking meats, veggies, and frozen foods. So glad I found this replacement and the price was excellent. Read more

1) To get rid of the chemical smell, I did 3 repetitions of wash the basket with lots of soap, heat to 400F for 20 min, cool down. After that, I heated a small glass dish with 1/4 cup vinegar and 2 TBSP lime juice to 200F for 30 min. Took care of the plastic smell. 2) The exterior on the unit gets HOT. Everywhere. It's not melting, and other reviews mention this issue, so I'm not thinking it's particularly dangerous. 3) It cooks great. The unit is louder than others I've used, but the stronger fan seems to help with better air circulation. I roasted some very wet pumpkin seeds and they were surprisingly crispy in 12 minutes. I bought this air fryer because it's "programmable" and goes by minutes instead of 5 minute timer. I love how easy it is to clean. It's a perfect size for me since I live alone. I didn't like turning on my oven to cook 2 little hash browns. The basket holds 2 hash browns side by side just perfectly. It takes 3 minutes to preheat instead of 10 minutes on my oven. I cook the hash browns for 13 minutes and they come out crispy and perfect. I cooked the hash browns for 18 minutes in my oven. So basically half the time to cook the hash browns instead of 30 minutes using my oven. So what it does is you plug it in. It does it's little swirly thing and then 400 degrees pops up. You turn the dial to the temp you need. You then click the temp/time button to get it to the minutes. You turn the dial to how many minutes you want it to cook for. I put 7 minutes and than just let it sit. It turns itself on after a few seconds of not turning the dial. After it beeps I flip the hash browns and start the process over but only put in 6 minutes on the 2nd side. It's fast and cooks in lower temps than your oven because the fan is blowing the hot air over and around your food. I unplug the fryer and let it sit while I eat my food. I than take out the basket and dump some dawn dish soap with hot water in the basket and let it soak to let the temp of the water cool a bit. I scrub it clean, rinse and let it drip dry on a rack in my sink. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Read more

I just tried this air fryer making large crinkle cut fries. I followed the directions and the fries tasted great. Crispy on the outside. The glass bowel really makes it easy to keep an eye on what your cooking. I bought the Elite Gourmet brand because I have a toaster in that brand. They seem to be made better than some other brands I will only by this brand from is point forward for small kitchen equipment. I highly recommend this brand! Read more

This air fryer works really well. I purchased a "Renewed" one and it came in very good condition. It had some micro scratches that I didn't notice unless looking very closely. It didn't come in the factory box, but it was nicely packaged with some expanding filling the void space in the box to protect the item and also included was an instruction manual. The cooking temperature range is 180-400 degrees and it has a built-in timer that shuts itself off after and chimes when it is finished. The cord is adequate measuring 36" and it's of the 2 prong style. The instructions include some basic cooking parameters for different foods and has a handful of recipes to try. I've used it for frozen and fresh foods and the unit does really good at cooking small portions of food, but larger portions need to be rearranged several times to get an even cook, but it's not that much of a hassle. The temperature settings go in multiples of 10 starting at 400 when you turn it on and you adjust down to your desired temperature, but for some reason the top of the unit has a sort of cheat sheet for temperatures to cook different foods at and shows them all ending in 5 which this unit is unable to be set at, so not exactly useful. This is my first air fryer and I was always a little sceptical of all the hype, but I find overall this to be a good kitchen appliance I'll use often because it generally cooks food faster than in the oven by a good margin. Some foods like frozen cheese sticks and tater tots are better than when cooked in the oven, but not quite as good as deep fried. Some foods like frozen burritos I can't tell much of a difference than when cooked in the oven though the cook time is faster, and I do lightly spray a light coat of olive oil on the items as instructed for a crispier result. Overall I'm well satisfied with my purchase and again amazed at getting another Amazon renewed product that works well and can hardly tell it was used at all. Read more
