This is second one I’ve bought. It does the job, and the last one last me a few years, with almost daily usage. Nothing new or innovative here, just a product that gets the job done. Cleaning it isn’t an issue, you just can’t get water inside of the attachment because the pieces will rust and cause a squealing sound. Read more

I have used it for about 3 years so it is a reliable and durable product. I am just now realizing that there are ones with higher wattage, so this one it sort of on the weaker side. It is up to you what you prefer. I may try a higher wattage next. Thanks. Read more

On initial use, my opinion is that this item isn’t built to last very long. The entire drive line on it is made of plastic, as is the coupling. Honestly, if it lasts a year, with minimal use I’ll be surprised. It does have what appears to be a stainless steel blade, which from a design point is useless if you use a plastic drive shaft and coupling. The instant the blade hits anything that causes resistance, the entire drive on it is going to fail. Since each shaft appears to be a single piece casting, all it will take is one bump to the blade, while it’s spinning at a high rpm, and it’s going to catastrophically fail, with no chance of rebuilding or repairing it. Even a small O.D. steel drive would’ve been acceptable, and wouldn’t have increased production maybe a few cents and would make the difference between the junk that it is, and an almost reliable kitchen tool. Save your money on this one and buy one that’s better built, would be my advice. Even with the discounted it price we paid it’s not worth it unfortunately. Read more

I bought the Americania Collection Hand Blender to use in soap making. Since I got this item on February 1st 2020 I have made two small batches of soap. The unit seemed to work ok for the first two batches. This morning I set up my soap making equipment and got all my ingredients together to make another batch of soap. Since the Hand Blender had worked ok on the last batch, I didn't have any reason to think it wouldn't work ok today. Well, its not a good feeling to have everything ready to make soap and your ingredients all ready mixed together only to find the tool you need, namely the Americania Collection Hand Blender WON'T RUN !!!! I invested several dollars of my hard earned money buying the ingredients just to have the soap ruined because I couldn't finish the soap and bring it to TRACE without the Hand Blender. Needless to say I am not a happy camper about now. I would not recommend anyone purchasing this blender for soap making. You would be wasting your money in more than one way. You would waste it on the initial purchase of the blender and then when it fails on you after very little use, you would be wasting it on the ingredients you would lose as a result of the failure. I think the least Amazon should do is extend me a credit for the amount I paid for this cheap product so I could put it toward the purchase of a better unit. If they will do that it would take some of the sting out of this whole adventure. An I might considering doing another review about Amazons customer service. That's my comments about this product. Edit: I want to update you all to say I did manage to break this product, after using it to make hundreds of bars. After a particularly chunky batch, the poor thing just gave our. It lasted several months, and only upon comparison with a more expensive model did I find it definitely has a weaker motor. Still great for beginners, and with good maintenance may last many months until your soap business gets off the ground and you need something a little heftier for larger batches. Original review: At first I was worried about the price, but this little thing packs a punch! Chopped up coffee grounds, oatmeal, and other soap additives with it. Very easy to clean. Cord is nice and long, probably about 4 feet. Read more
