My son is tiny for his age: 7 years old, 45" height, 46 lb, with a waist size of 20". I thought the size S would work, based on the size chart - which it does around the waist. Even height wise, they're not too bad. But the rest of the pant leg is too baggy. Might be a while till he can fill them up. The material feels durable for sure. My son likes the way it feels.
