I bought this thinking it would be another gimmick—just a glorified pillow with delusions of grandeur. What I got instead was a lap-based miracle that turned my recliner into a reading throne. This thing holds my book open like it’s auditioning for a job as a butler, in a Jane Austen novel, in tails. No slipping, no collapsing, no need to perform Cirque du Soleil finger acrobatics just to keep the pages from flapping shut. It props the book up at a perfect angle, and the soft cushion molds to my lap like it’s been training for this moment its whole life. I read under a tornado of a ceiling fan, and the pages stay just where I want them. In the recliner? Sublime. I sink back, the stand settles in, and suddenly I’m reading hands-free like some kind of aristocrat who’s too refined to touch paper. I’ve gone entire chapters without adjusting anything other than to flip the page—except my snack-to-mouth ratio. Also, it’s grey, which means it goes with everything, including my questionable life choices and the blanket I have had since childhood. If you read physical books (no doubt great for electronics as well but I'm old school on reading) and enjoy comfort, dignity, and not having your wrist cramp into a claw, this stand is your new best friend. Five stars. Would let it hold my secrets if it asked. Read more

Wonderful product. Prevents a sore neck from looking down to read. Also makes a great desk for my iPad when I’m not reading. Read more

Works for me in enabling me to relax my arms while reading in bed or an easy chair. I use it with books and like the up and down adjustability. The base is nice and soft. Read more

This is a great product for reading in bed. Because of the beanbag base, it stays steady on my lap. I prefer this to other rigid book holders. Read more

I’ve used this for a tablet and kindle. I haven’t used it for a regular book yet so I’m unsure if the book page holder works well. It’s very light when it’s on your lap, it’s a nice size. If you have a large tablet and it’s set vertically it may feel like it will fall but it won’t. Easy to use and seems it’s good quality. Read more

I love this so much. It is exactly what I was looking for. I have been wanting something to hold my iPad when I’m laying in bed and reading on it or playing games on it. I usually prop it up on pillows, but it never sits right. I also was looking for something to keep my book pages open. When I read at night and it’s late and I’m tired, sometimes I just want to lay down and read and not hold the book. Then I found this thing. This does exactly what I need it to do for both my iPad and my books. I saw a different review where they said that the little notches to hold iPads keep the book pages from turning, but you’re not supposed to have that down when you have a book on it. I figured that out right away. I’m glad I didn’t let that review put me off. This is absolutely perfect. It’s very comfortable. When I go to the park and read, I can lay my head on the pillow side during instances where I’m holding the book. When I want to change positions, I now have a book holder. It’s definitely worth the money. Assembly was easy because, well, there was nothing to assemble. You open the package and it’s ready for use. I love that it’s soft and sturdy at the same time. I have my iPad on it with the case still on, and it holds it well. I also clip my book reading light to the back of this instead of my book itself so that I don’t have to move the light every time I turn pages. I love everything about it. Read more
