This is my second try at an ipad holder for my mic stand, and I am absolutely stoked on this one. My previous holder was mostly plastic, and the main bolt holding the arm in place stripped out, so my ipad slumped down and out of my view mid gig. No bueno... THIS HOLDER, however, is primarily made of metal, especially in the parts that matter.. the weight-bearing arms and main clamp. The clamp is very strong, with rubber grippers that held things in place very well. I got the shorter arm to keep the ipad close to the center of the stand to avoid tipping over. Yes, this holder is much heavier that other one, but the weight seems to help with overall stability and balance from my use so far. The clamp for the ipad itself expands easily and held thing with zero issues. The holder connects to the arm with a really nice swivel ball, so I was able to adjust the screen to optimal viewing angle very easily. Overall, this thing is right on the money for me. Breaks down easily and fits in my gig bag without taking up awkward space. This thing was clearly designed well and does its job perfectly. This is a great iPad holder. I’ve used it with an iPad Pro 12.9 and an iPhone 13 Pro Max. Works equally well with both of them. Mount connects securely to a microphone stand, easily, and securely. I would recommend this to a fellow musician needing access to their device while on stage. Read more

This is a very solid and versatile phone/tablet holder with just a few limitations. The customer support is terrific! I needed an ipad holder to display guitar TAB when I jam with friends. Having a metal mount, rather than plastic, was important, given the cost of my 12.9" iPad Pro. Metal was especially important given the ball head bracket. The gripping mount grips securely. The grip seems to be intended for round tubes - like a microphone stand. What I really like is the ability to remove the ball head and thread it directly to a standard camera tripod. You can also find screws at a hardware store that will fit the mount, so you could build your own support - which I have also done. The ball joint is easy to use when adjusting tablet orientation. Of the limitations I mentioned, I discovered the following: -The grip bracket is intended to grab only vertical surfaces. The joints of the extension arm are not strong enough to support a heavy tablet. -The grip bracket will leave a mark on a wood or plastic mounting location - probably not on a metal mic stand, though. -Portability is cumbersome as the bracket does not fold up flat, and it is heavy as you would expect. Of course, the weight is the trade for such a heavy-duty device. Regarding the customer support... my order was missing a small piece. The box had clear instructions on how to contact customer service via email. Withing a couple of hours I had a clear and friendly reply that they had addressed the issue. I really appreciated not having to call, and that the solution arrived in a couple of days. I highly recommend this bracket, unless you need something compact. This is what I've been looking for. Just heavy enough to feel reliable. Fits my own mic stand, and any that I've been given on stage. It's one more thing to attach & detach at every gig, so a quick-release style clip, that's still adjustable, would have been even better. Nevertheless, this is a lot less to carry around than a separate music or device stand. Just make sure your mic stand is solid enough to keep this clip-on and your device steady.
