This vest is fantastic. It has REAL BUTTONS and the belt loop in the back is actually for adjusting not just show! This is important to me that things with functions actually work. This vest has brown, black, beige, and white in it. It says machine wash on gentle so that means usually cold and hang/air dry. The inside of the garment is silky. The size I got fits me perfectly. I am long waisted and busty. This reads as conservative and professional. I will be wearing it to court with a beige button down (not pictured because needs ironed), black jacket and pant suit, and black closed toe shoes with a brown block heel. The pockets are real but they are the kind that are sewn shut and need to be unstitched so I won’t be doing that. My suit pants and jacket have pockets that aren’t sewn for aesthetics. This is a light weight vest. There’s really not much give to it so don’t expect a whole lot of stretch. I’m very happy with this vest. I usually wear a size large and that’s what I ordered. However, I have difficulty buttoning this vest. The arm openings are perfect, so is the width in back and the length. It’s the front that is small. I’m not sure if it’s me or the cut. Just want you to be aware of this. The fabric is nicely woven and good quality. The vest is lined and the lining is not bunchy. It’s more of a cotton fabric than silk or polyester. The buttons are secured tightly and the buckled piece on the back is nicely sewn. The pockets are sewn shut upon arrival. A few snips to the threads opens the pockets. The price is right for this vest. It’s a classic piece every wardrobe should have. Read more

I haven't worn a vest in like 15 years but thought I would try this one. It is well made of good material and cute over a nice blouse. If you want sexy, wear it on its own. A t-back bra works well with this. It can definitely be slimming if you have the right size. I am usually a size small and it fit like a glove.
