I absolutely love this sunscreen. That was recommended by dermatologist, and have been using it for years. However, it has changed from a pump to a spray, and I have a trouble with a spray top jamming up and not being able to use it.! it is just far too expensive to not have a container that works correctly. Great product, but the spray top is a deal breaker. It is difficult to get it to work at all and takes a lot of fussing and strength. Then when it finally works the product comes out in large gloppy messes. This is not a spray, just a propelled rub on. Very sad, because the product is outstanding. But way too expensive for such a mess. UPDATE - I tried to return or get a refund because the product is faulty, and I am in the timeline for refunds. REFUND DENIED BECAUSE THE PRODUCT WAS OPENED!! How do I know it was defective if I didn't open it???? I have never encountered this with any other brand, or with Amazon for that matter. Please do not buy this, you will regret it. Such a shame. I assume that the EltaMD UV AOX Mist Mineral Sunscreen Spray replaced the UV Aero version, which has been discontinued. The UV Aero spray was a mixture of zinc oxide and octinoxate; this new version is strictly zinc oxide with a higher concentration than what the UV Aero had. The UV AOX, as indicated, sprays out like a mist / powder; the old UV Aero sprayed out as a liquid. The UV Aero left a faint white cast; this new, UV AOX will leave a noticeable white cast and will stain your shirts / clothes. However, the stains are not permanent as they will wash out (unlike other mineral sunscreens). Overall, this is a good sunscreen to use for short periods of time out in the sun - up to one hour. I would probably not recommend this sunscreen for prolonged periods of time out in the sun, such as long road trips, yard work, beach days, or any other outdoor events, due to the zinc oxide concentration being below 20%. Great product. Seems like it was out of stock for months or a year but it’s back. Packaging is slightly different but this is the same product you love. Will turn your skin white if applied too heavy, but who cares? Our dermatologist recommended and we approve. I don’t know why it so often gets terrible reviews online but this stuff is great. Low odor, not greasy, and protects like nothing else I’ve tried. It’s the only sunscreen I’ll wear as I can’t stand smelling like a piña colada or a banana boat. Downside is that it’s expensive but treating skin cancer is worse. Totally worth it. Read more
