I absolutely LOVE these EJ sunglasses! They are so well made and so beautiful. However, they are too wide for my face and I’m afraid they will fall off. This saddens me greatly, since this model is the smallest model in the entire collection. I’m torn because I truly love the look, but I’m thinking that I might have to return them, as they do not stay on my face. I’m hoping that this eyewear line will make a petite collection because I would buy a pair in an instant. By the way, the eyeglass cleaning cloth is amazing. These Elton John Eyewear X LA Dodgers sunglasses come in a sharp looking blue and white color way, that doesn’t look cheesy, or unsophisticated. The navy blue polarized lenses provide 100% UV 400 protection. The stainless steel square navigator sports frames are lightweight and comfortable to wear. The frame shape is more squared than it is rounded, somewhat angular, with linear edges. These sunglasses definitely have a very stylish aesthetic. At first, I wasn’t quite sure that these sunglasses would be the right style for me. I was worried that they might be overly branded, with too much Elton John, or with too much LA Dodgers, or with too much of both, but they’re not. The branding is somewhat subtle and surprisingly understated, more so than I had expected. I really like the subtlety of the details, for me, it makes these sunglasses much more suitable for regular wear. They definitely have style and flair, but they’re not too gaudy looking. If necessary, the frames can accommodate custom prescription lenses. The navy blue lenses are relatively dark, I like the color more than I thought I would. The blue colored metal frames have contrasting white end cap covers and trim accents, with sharp looking E star logos at the temples. They come with a very nice carrying case, a note from Elton, and a limited edition photo wiping cloth. Each lens has an outer corner logo etching, one etched with Elton John, the other etched with Dodgers. The logo etchings are on the insides of the lenses, not on the outsides. The logos are both relatively small and quite subtle. I really like that the logos were executed with restraint. The overall quality of these sunglasses is excellent, certainly above average. They appear to be very well made and reasonably durable. These stylish sunglasses are suitable for wear by both males and females alike. Whether you’re an Elton John fan, an LA Dodgers fan, or just a fan of stylish fashion sunglasses, these are very wearable. I’m very satisfied with the quality and style of these Elton John Eyewear X LA Dodgers sunglasses. At $150, they’re a good value, an option that’s worthy of consideration. I love funky glasses, so naturally I was super excited to see that the king of funky glasses, Elton John, was coming out with a full line of them. Now I’m far from a glasses expert, but I can say that u have a very large collection of mid price and higher end glasses. And I can also say that I’m pretty good at spotting quality sunglasses that are made well, which also doesn’t always correlate to the price. If you know you know. With that being said, I’m not sure why these are priced as high as they are. At $150 price point I expect either a very good lens, or a well made quality frame. However this gives neither of those… it’s just a basic $50ish quality lens and honestly kind of cheap frames. And I got I want to say 5 different pairs of these, and I found that to be true on all of them. Of course the packaging was top notch and very nice. It’s just the glasses themselves that I find to be overpriced. Personally I wouldn’t pay more than $80 absolute max for any of the ones I received. So because of this I can only rate these at 3 stars for just ok, not horrible but not great either. Read more
