For some reason my kids have really started playing the old Wii U again and realized our docking base wasn't working. So I went on Amazon to find a basic base but this one stood out! Works great have no problem charging remotes. You have to pull silicon cover off,but thats all chargers or replacing batteries. power cord is a Lil cheap so I just used a cord that was for a old phone. I have had it 4 months and still works Read more
No more buying batteries! This device will save you money! In the box was the charging port itself, and two special wii remote wireless charging packs. (Black) just take the case off of your wii remote and pop in the wireless ones and done! You can then plug in your charging port and place the wii remote (standing up) into its specially designed slots. Easy! Charging takes about 90-120 minutes of the wii remotes, and the "battery" lasts for over 6 hours of play. The wii u gamepad charger was also easy to use. Charging for 150 minutes and lasting 10 hours. I just wish there were different colors for the charging pack as I have a white controller but its not much of an issue. This still deserves a 5/5. The charging dock has two issues that keep it from getting 5 stars. 1) the batteries are not sized the same and do not consistently fit well - one battery fits in my wiimotes nicely and is easy to remove. The other battery fits very tightly and once attached, I'm afraid to remove it because it is so tight that I'm worried I'll break my wiimote trying to take it off. 2) either the indicator lights don't work correctly or one of my batteries (the tight fitting one) isn't charging all the way. The indicator light on one wiimote is blue after a day of charging while the tight fitting battery is still red. When I swap the wiimotes the tight fitting one continues to glow red instead of blue despite more than a day of charging. I was concerned about this and contemplated returning the unit but so far both wiimote batteries seem to be working (note: I have only played for up to one hour at a time). The wiimote that doesn't seem to charge all the way is still working and I'm afraid to remove the battery, so I'll give it some time before making that decision about returning. Otherwise the base is nice, well made, fits nicely on my desk, and the lights are not obnoxiously bright even though they are not conveying the status of the battery charge. Read more
