I didn't realize it was waterproof until I accidentally "washed" it while taking shower, and it still functions. And I check the instruction, what a relief...I had wear it for almost three days after I got it until the first charging. The battery lasts very long, and the charger is so tiny! It does track sleeping, steps, and heart rate, compare to the famous brand who does the same thing, this is a low budget replacement and do all the same jobs. I really wanted to like this ring. The price and functions seemed very appealing. HOWEVER, there were issues that made it completely unacceptable. First of all, It required an app interface that asks for far too much personal information having nothing to do with the product. For instance, it wants access to your contacts list and your camera. That's a hard NO. Then there was the functionality. Binding the ring to my phone caused immediate problems that no amount of troubleshooting could fix. The way it accesses bluetooth caused immediate problems with other apps. This is a big issue if you're like me and listen to podcasts, music, and audio books on your phone. As soon as I installed the ring and app it caused repeated interference in other apps such a Spotify and Audible. The ring/app/bluetooth caused constant dropping of media I normally consume every day. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy 24, a new-ish and reliable device. Love the ring it holds a charge for 3+days and the box holds a charge like head phones. But after about two weeks the app went down when I deleted to re download like suggested the app is off the Google app store. The ring started out working fine but after a few days it's not working properly. There is no led showing and it doesn't hold charge for very long. It measures sleep patterns but does not link with my current cpap machine. I am able to get some use out of it though. Read more
