I use this as a head support for doing acrobatic yoga. I have tried many different pillows to find one that suits the purpose correctly. It is exactly the right size and shape for that specific purpose. I carry it with me at training events all over the world. Extremely high quality. I would not recommend it for sleeping. I have tried sleeping on it and don’t find it to be comfortable as it is too tall and hard. So unless you like a small pillow that is taller and harder than a normal sleeping pillow, don’t buy it for that purpose. Read more

I've had neck problems for awhile now, and really wanted to go back to the basics. Unfortunately this pillow is too thick and just kinks my neck; laying on my side is okay for a bit, but it is extremely uncomfortable. I also think having this on the floor might make a bit of a difference instead of a mattress. Overall, cute design but I need to get a smaller one. Read more

Emoor makes craftsman quality traditional Japanese bedding. This sobagara makura or buckwheat hull pillow fits their company profile perfectly. Please note that this is a very small version on this type of pillow. See my photos for reference. I have an average/medium sided adult male hand and there are CDs in the background for more comparison. Consider this more of a "travel sized" pillow. Another important point is that it cannot be refilled nor can the pillow itself be washed. This is a single term use pillow. That is to say that over time the hulls will break down and eventually the pillow will have to be disposed of. Emoor states that this takes about 6 months of continued use. I think that is a conservative estimate. I would say from my experience a year to a year and a half. I think this is a good pillow to purchase for intermittent use or to decide if you like this pillow style. It is both firm and soft. It is always cool. There is no scent. The fabric is a heavy and soft cotton. Very durable and well dyed. The outer wrap can be removed and the sides untied to form a more flat pillow shape or it can be kept in box mode which provides great support for back and side lying. Emoor products are made with great care to form, function, quality and tradition. This pillow is no exception. Read more

Actually use this pillow in my vehicles when I work double shifts and need a nap. Small pillow of course, but the quality is excellent and the materials are not toxic like most cheap stuff they sell now. Would recommend for tight spots when you need a nap. Read more

makes me feel like a samurai when I sleep. mostly for side sleepers this will not sag at all and the ties let you adjust height. seemed small at first but hasn't been an issue, even with my big head xd. there's a certain satisfying "crunch" when you lay into it, had it for a few months now and can say that while you should definitely have a "regular" pillow around for back sleepers, when I side sleep this is the way.
