This is a very clever and versatile take on the classic night light. I really like the core features, the main one being the swivel design. It's great to be able to aim the light exactly where you need it, like down towards the floor of the hallway so it's not shining in your eyes. The color-changing option is also a neat touch, with a bunch of vibrant colors to cycle through, in addition to a standard warm white. The dusk-to-dawn light sensor is accurate and works reliably. However, I ran into a couple of issues. The sconce is designed to shine light both upwards and downwards, but on the one I received, only the downward-facing light works. I've pressed every button in every combination I can think of, but the top light simply will not turn on. This problem was made more confusing by the complete lack of instructions in the packaging. Without a manual, I can't tell if my unit is defective or if there's some specific way to operate it that I'm missing. Pros: - Swivel design is very practical for directing light - Offers a wide variety of color options - The light sensor is responsive and works well - The downward-facing light is sufficiently bright Cons: - The upward-facing light does not function on my unit - Did not include any instructions I really like the half of this night light that works. The media could not be loaded. I got this light because I needed to have a light on the stairs, yet there isn't a plug on my stairs. Since the light swivels, I was able to plug it into our kitchen island and turn it 90 degrees to shine on the stairs. This is so incredibly helpful for us as the steps are the same flooring as the floor and at night in the dark, you can't see the stairs well. The nightlight is plastic, but it is constructed well. It's not decorative or anything special to look at, it's just a black nightlight. I like that lights can shine from both ends of the light and they work independently, so you can just leave one light on. The only downside is only one end gave an option of a white light. I wanted a white light on both ends, but the other end was only various colors. Maybe there is a way to make them sync, but there are no instructions, so I don't know. The price is fair and is fits very well in our kitchen to light up the stairs. Read more
