The barrel heats up quickly and gives even heat distribution throughout the barrel allowing me to take wider & thicker sections for a variety of curl sizes the glove again plays a key role here. The cord not only is it longer it has a rotating swivel allowing me to easily do both vertical & horizontal sectioning giving me the flexibility by not allowing it not to tangle like previous iron’s I’ve owned. My hair is straight like a board but this curling iron works wonders on my hair! I use it almost daily to give my hair some waves by leaving it in my hair for about 5 to 10 seconds. The glove is useful to keep from burning your hand. Only downside that I can see is that it doesn't have multiple heat settings, but that's fine by me! Keep it simple! Read more

This wand works great and I used my first one for years before the cord exploded (made a loud popping sounds, sparks and split the cord in half near the base of the wand) in my hand while I was using it. It burned the palm of my hand and shorted out the outlet. I assumed it was due to the age of the wand so I bought another one, only for the same exact thing to happen after just six months of use.
