I wanted a basic electric clock that didn't come with a lot of instructions and extras on it. This was just what I wanted. The alarm is nice and loud, but do note it is not a 24 hour clock so you need to set your alarm within the 12 hours. I read on another review that they liked their clock but the light on the face is very bright. This is true, but there is a dimmer dial on the bottom so you can adjust it for less light. Simple, basic alarm clock

I bought this clock because all the other clocks I have are digital or battery operated. They either, need to be reset or they aren't affected by a power hiccup. This is a plug-in clock that will stop running for the duration that the electricity is off. If there is a ten minute or a three hour down time, it will lose that much time. We don't have that many electrical hiccups, but now I can know. It doesn't have a backup battery, but it has an alarm and a beautiful blue backlight that might be a little bright as a bedroom night light, so I put it in the bathroom, not the bedroom. The back light can be dimmed. It is pretty simple to operate. Just what I wanted. Read more
