I used it for general web searches for a short period of time but found the clicking to be too much, too loud. I have in the past used so-called silent mice, but like so many quiet clocks seem to, they lost their 'silent' ability quickly. My only useful outcome from this purchase and its failure, is to always read reviews and if even just 1 or 2 people talk about an issue or situation you think you could not tolerate - keep looking.
