During the winter months. I live in sweaters in the evenings. I bought this one mostly because I liked the color, it's not the subtle muted colors you usually see in sweaters. I was pleasantly surprised at the reverse stitching detail on the outside of the sweater. If not for the label and buttons, it could easily be worn as a reversible sweater. It feels like it runs true to size, I am 5'2" and 115 pounds and this is a size small. It still has plenty of room so if you wanted a more fitted sweater, I think you would be safe to order down one size. It washes and dries well, I don't like to hand wash or take time to sort clothing for gentle cycles, so this got thrown into the regular laundry with the jeans and t-shirts. The dryer was on regular heat also and when it came out there were a few wrinkles (probably my fault, I left everything in the dryer a couple of days before I remembered I had them there), but the wrinkles came out easily when hit with a steam iron. This sweater is the perfect sweater for the cooler weather. Its soft, cozy and can be styled to worn dressed up or down. I bought my true size and it fits very true to size even a little oversized which I love. I have worn , washed and dried it a couple of times and the quality is very nice it did not fade or shrink which is always a huge concern. Very unimpressed with the sweater. In fact it went straight into the Goodwill bag. I got this for free as part of the Vine program so I didn't feel bad getting rid of it right away. When it first came out of the package I instantly thought temu style, If you get my drift. The fabric is soft but thin and does not seem very quality. The stitching seemed alright but honestly it looks like it'll come loose pretty easily. Most sweaters with this mini buttons will come with a spare and it didn't come with a spare.. Which you'll probably need because they'll probably fall off. As for the fit... it's such an awkward fit. I ordered an extra large and I'm usually between a large and an extra large. It's somewhere in between a crop sweater and a not crop sweater. It sits at your belly button but it's not fitted around the waist so therefore it just looks silly. Basically the sweater is made without any curve so it's the same width straight down. Not exactly a potato sack but pretty darn close. The color is beautiful... But that's about the only positive thing I can say. Maybe it's just not my style or maybe they don't make the bigger sizes the way they do the smaller sizes. I looked at the reviews before mine and everybody was so positive but I don't think any of them got the same size as me so that could explain it. The way the buttons come all the way down makes it really awkward If you have any bit of a chest.. because you could only unbutton it so far without showing cleavage and having only a few buttons buttoned up just looks stupid. I think maybe this is the kind of sweater that is good for small girls with smaller chests. Honestly giving it three stars is being generous. Read more

This sweater is so pretty! The material is not scratchy. It's soft, warm, comfortable, and I love the style. You can wear it with the buttons open or closed. I prefer them closed. I ordered my usual size, an XL, and it fits great. It looks great with jeans or dress pants. I'm very happy with it! Read more

I chose this Esmeling Button Front Sweater in the Green color and it is beautiful to me. The overall quality of this sweater is very good, although it is hard to tell at first because it arrives vacuum packed and thus presents itself very wrinkled when you remove it from the packaging. (Wrinkles easily disappeared with my iron on a low steam setting). The knit is uniform and there were no loose threads anywhere. Actually, I didn't see any threads at all. This sweater can be worn casually, but I found that when I push it back on my shoulders it has a slightly more upscale look to it. This can easily become my favorite sweater. Read more

This sweater is oversized. I'm usually a medium in regular stores and a large on Amazon. For this sweater, I went with a medium, and it was still a little baggy (I'm 5'6'' and 140lbs). It's very soft and comfortable to wear. The material was not itchy or irritating to my skin at all. It also felt breathable and light. Color was a little more yellowish cream than what appears in the photos. The sleeves are a bit puffier than I expected, but still cute. Read more

The style and quality of this sweater is excellent. I love the shorter sweater with the buttons that you can either undo or wear as is. It’s really flattering. The sweater is soft and has lots of stretch. It’s heavier so better for wearing in cold weather. Buttons are secure and it is sewn well. Definitely a great quality for the cost. I ordered a medium for a true to size fit. You could size up for a baggy look but I’m not sure it would be as flattering. Read more
