I bought this Essie Gel Couture top coat duo and I was honestly surprised. The shine it gives looks like a salon finish, and it lasts much longer than a regular top coat. I like that it dries fast, isn’t sticky, and helps the color stay without chipping. Also, the bottle design is super comfortable to hold, and the brush applies smoothly without streaks. I’m glad I got to try this Essie Gel Couture nail polish in Fairy Taylor. Color is milky light pink. It is not opaque, it’s more French manicure look. It took a few times to get used to it not to overwork it while applying. Less strokes is better, because if I continued doing more strokes the polish started to “tangle” and got messy. So, try not to rush, but do it quickly enough, so it doesn’t start to dry while applying it. When I did it first time, it came out a little streaky since I was rushing it a bit. Here, I did 2 layers here and 3rd layer is a topcoat. Topcoat gives a nice shine, similar to real gel. I like the nice and clean look. I am also pleasantly surprised how quickly this polish dries, so that is definitely a big plus. It dries within 10 mins (to the touch) and it’s fully dry within an hour. The only downside is it only lasts 3-4 days before it starts chipping. I am typically careful with my hands and use gloves. I typically wear this polish in this color for about 5 days before I take if off. It comes off easily with acetone free nail polish remover. Read more

This works great over regular polish to keep nails painted a little longer. Will say that if you have sensitive nails it can be a bit abrasive as with any polish. Not streaky, good coverage, opaque but has a nice thickness. Comes off with regular nail polish remover which is great. Read more
