Things I love about it. FILTERS - yes filters are washable, but easier for me to just buy new ones when needed. Inexpensive. CANISTER - WOW. Canister holds a LOT and I can easily see when it's getting full. REALLY PICKS UP - Depending on the setting you put it on, it can really suck everything out of your carpeting or rugs. Makes quick work of going over ceramic tile in kitchen and bathroom. EASY ASSEMBLY NICE ATTACHMENTS BOTTOMLINE: have paid MORE for vacuums not nearly this good. ONE THING, if you are giving to someone frail, has trouble vacuuming, while not exactly HEAVY, probably wouldn't be suitable for someone who needs something SUPER lightweight. Read more

So I was about to trash this vacuum 2 weeks ago when I got it and then realized the error in its performance was my own. 🤣🤣🤣 This vacuum is a fantastic deal for the money. I think I paid $109 with the coupon. It doesn't have some features that my old Eureka had, but it's doing a great job none the less. It's very light weight, moves around ok, has carpet height adjustment, seems to clean really well (I'm busy cleaning up a remodel and it's doing pretty great under harsh conditions). Pretty stoked at this point with the value here. Room for improvement, but 4 stars 🌟 is deserved. Didn't get 5 because of the missing features (IMO) Read more

Eureka NEU182A PowerSpeed Lightweight Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner vs Shark Rocket Professional Side-by-Side Review Background: I recently had to replace a Shark Rocket Professional, because the suction seemed to have been almost completely lost. I was always happy up to that point with it, but as I’ll explain below, after having purchased the Eureka NEU182A PowerSpeed Lightweight Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner, I don’t miss it one bit. Since these are basically the only two vacuum cleaners I’ve owned in my adult life, I’ll be comparing them throughout this review. Weight: Winner Eureka NEU182A This is a very light weight vacuum. I have no issues moving it up and down the stairs to clean them. The shark is significantly heavier. Features: Winner – Shark Rocket Pro. As I mentioned above, I was always pleased with the Shark from the start and one of the reasons is that it tilts with very little effort, it seems to be slightly self-propelled, and it tilts low enough to go under my coffee table. To switch between upright mode and using the hose is a very easy process. The Eureka, however is the most basic model with no bells and whistles. I’m sure they make a comparable model to the Shark, but the one I got was basic. It doesn’t tilt very low, so to get under furniture you will have to move it. Though it is very light weight compared to the shark it is harder to push. In order to switch to using the hose you must shut it off, uncouple the hose from where it attaches to the brush roller assembly, then disconnect the handle and connect the hose to it. This was just one step for the Shark. The hose seemed to stretch farther for the Shark as well and I think the hose allowed more pivoting without kinking. Canister overall: Winner Eureka NEU182A The canister for this is a bit larger than the Shark’s. It also doesn’t have as many pockets to catch dust and dirt and hair on it as the canister for the Shark does. As a result, it’s easier to remove and empty. Cleaning Performance: Winner Eureka – By a land slide. The Eureka, though it is much lighter and cheaper, seems to have quite a bit of power over the Shark. It got my floor looking much cleaner with fewer passes. Noise: Winner Shark It’s not a huge difference in noise, but it is a difference. Cleanup: Winner Eureka – by a landslide. The canister for this is a bit larger than the Shark’s. It also doesn’t have as many pockets to catch dust and dirt and hair on it as the canister for the Shark does. As a result, it’s easier to remove and empty. The rollers on the Eureka seem to somehow be resistant to having hair and string wrap around them. When vacuuming with the Shark I had to clean the rollers by cutting the hair that managed to get wrapped around and pulling it off. This usually ended up being a pretty large pile. By contrast after I finished vacuuming for the first time in several weeks with the Eureka I was afraid to flip it over and look at the brush, but to my shock and amazement they were almost completely clean. The Shark’s rollers looked like they had started to grow hair of their own after the first use. Conclusion: Winner Eureka Eureka NEU182A The Eureka NEU182A PowerSpeed Lightweight Bagless Upright vacuum cleaner really sucks, thank goodness. It’s a great vacuum and will leave your floors clean. It’s light-weight and it did a great job on my stairs and furniture at removing animal hair. It is not a full featured vacuum, but it will get the job done. If you have physical restrictions or disability it may not be a good vacuum for you as it doesn’t get under coffee tables and is more difficult to push as it is completely unassisted. It doesn’t come with any attachments that allow you to reach very high, but you can buy attachments to allow this. Honestly the only two things I can Knock it for are that it doesn't feel super sturdy, which is a trade for being light-weight, and the fact that it doesn't lay all the way down to the ground. I just got this. And I love it. But let's step back a bit in time. I moved across the country and set up my new digs. A vacuum was planned, but one week after I got here, Rona came to town. Because of that, I put a halt on spending a lot of money, because who knew what the future was going to hold. Instead, I got a manual "sweeper, and used that on my carpets for the last 4 months. It worked really well. It picked up the kitty litter, it picked up a lot of pet hair, and it left those "vacuum lines" that I really like. I thought, this entire time, that it was doing a really good job. But, after 4 months, I decided that I should get a vacuum. I came here, browsed around, and thought there was no way I could afford one. They were all over $100 and up. Most of them "up". Then I found this page. And I went to the reviews right away to see what people had to say about it. And I found that review that you all found, too. You know the one - asking if you had any anxiety issues with needing a vacuum but being on a budget? And the reviewer assured us all that we would be making a wise purchase if we just followed her advice by buying one of these? Yeah, well, I took her advice. I cannot believe how much it picked up even after I went over the carpet earlier today with the sweeper. I filled an entire canister of mostly pet hair from my living room/dining area, short hallway, and the bedroom. I thought that my place was pretty clean by just using the sweeper, but I was wrong. This vacuum - listen, it didn't just suck up all the hair and dust that I didn't even know was there, but it also fluffed up my carpets again. This is lightweight, it's ridiculously easy to put together, you probably don't even need the instructions, it's easy to clean the canister, the lid, and the filter. The cord was said to be short, but that cord is LONG. It reached across my entire living room/dining area and down my short hallway from one plug. I only had to switch the plug when I went to clean the bedroom. I have a huge apartment - so no, that cord is not short. Also, it's no louder than any other vacuum I've owned in my life. It sounds like a regular vacuum. The only downsides are that because it fluffed my carpet back up, I can now see everywhere I've walked - which means I'll be pulling the sweeper out again, obsessively, to create clean "vacuum lines" as if no one walks on the floor around here. That's how good this vacuum is - I can't get over how well this vacuum does for such a low price. So, you read that one review? Listen to her! Trust her, because she was right! Read more
