I only used it on carpet and it works great. I have not tried it on hardwood floor yet. For hand movements, I can use the sliders with bare hands. With movements using legs like bear crawl, plank or lunges with sliders under feet,it slipped a bit. I have grip socks from my pilates class which works great with the sliders.
