This Colorsmith Extra Strength Hair Regrowth Treatment has 5% Minoxidil which is the standard amount for most treatments for men. But I had read it’s okay to use in women too. The application seems similar to many other brands where you put the solution onto your scalp with a dropper. It is a watery solution so you have to be careful about putting light drops on and then rubbing it into your scalp in the places you want. I am a female with thinning hair due to stress and hormone issues. After looking into various solutions, I decided to finally give minoxidil a try and found that 5% formulas are the most recommended. While this formula seems to be so far so good, I have a lot of issues with applying it. The cap the bottle came in was not the most secure and the seal was lacking as well. I don't love the dropper for applying because it tends to drip down my face and doesn't stay where I need it to stay (which is mainly on my hairline). This is minoxidil, which has proven effectiveness to regrow hair while its primary functionality is increased blood flow.. This product specifies that it is intended for use by men only, not because it is harmful to women but because the lower 2% strength is enough to produce the same results. So if you are female, you can apply this one per day and should still get the benefits with less applications. The bottle is a 1-month supply, and the dropper is marked to dispense 1 mL, but you can use less/more depending on the size of the area that is thinning by I seriously doubt you would need more than that so unless you have a lot of scalp missing hair, this bottle will exceed the longevity listed on the packaging. My husband has been complaining about his hair for the past year so I decided to get this for him. While I'm not seeing what he's seeing in terms of hair loss, I like being able to provide a solution for him, literally and figuratively! Make sure you are following the directions of use and note that this is for men only. My husband is about a month in and he seems to like using it, I haven't heard any complaints. Just like skincare, it requires daily maintenance, forgetting to use this will result in a slower progress. It does say using it more isn't going to work better either, so don't waste the precious drops. My husband says his hair feels a bit fuller after weeks of use, which he can tell since he's the one feeling his head of hair everyday. I haven't heard as much complaining about how his hair is turning into his dad's, so I take it as a good sign. I am just about to order him another bottle if he hasn't already done so himself and we'll keep going with this product and see how it feels after a bottle or two.
