Awesome addition to my controller, was easy enough to install, retains full functionality and looks great! They feel a little cheap b4 installing but so do the official ones as its just plastic so dont let that deter you, these look and feel great. You will have to take apart your controller but its honestly pretty easy, just follow along with a video on YouTube and its hard to mess up. Just make sure you get the right set for your controller batch as the triggers are specific to the different variations, you can look up which you have with the numbers on back. Highly recommend! The chrome red goes well with the scarlet accent of the trim I bought from ExtremeRate as well. I’m having a slight issue with one of the triggers, however it’s likely it’s an issue I created during assembly (haptic triggers are neat but they add some complexity) Note: I used another set for the face buttons and d-pad, but given they’re the same style I doubt my review would change much. R1 and L1 dont fit at all, R2 is completely wrong, had to cut a tab to be able to push the button down. Went to reassemble and the R2 button gets pinned against the bottom of the case. Trimmed and sanded to the point the bottom case cracked and the R2 button still sticks and looks like garbage with the oblong hole for the R1/R2 buttons Read more

Have my significant other who loves the color blue, so of course when he went to get himself a 2nd controller and was sad that the "Galaxy Purple" is way more Purple than he thought and swears it said Blue.. I went to eXtremeRate first when getting a 3nd controller just to change everything on it to be his main controller. I have changed my mind and have bought another piece set that is still in shipment for the d-pads and joysticks which won't make it before Christmas, the light up ones of same brand, but still set on the Chrome Blue for everything else from the button set. I am sad that the L1/R1 buttons are mushy. First thought was I put the case on wrong or moved the silicone pad, but the original ones work fine. Overall, the thing is a beauty and I know he will love it! Update: RGB for the d-pad and joysticks came in before Christmas, and spent Christmas Eve putting it officially together! He loves it! Edit: I dropped it down to three stars instead of four. Now, I've purchased three shells for my Great Wave remote, and one shell part for my Red remote. I also got a Great Wave shell kit for my PS5 and the bundle for Switch & Joycons. I could go and give each of these a solid 5 star rating easy. Absolutely no issues and the fit is perfect to brand name shells. But my only issue is the buttons. I first left a review here as I was placing the triggers, that you can read below. I had no trouble until I was closing out the home stretch, and the very last thing one can do is pop the L&R buttons back in... Well, the ExRate ones don't fit PERIOD. If you compare the internals of the Official Buttons and the ExRate copies, they are massively different. If one does force the buttons in, it will technically go in... But then neither button nor trigger work. Seeing other reviews for the buttons of others, I think I will cancel my replacement order and stick with black triggers... Or, may make my own mold to get what I want. Cuz otherwise, the front facing look of the Red with the Chamo mods looks delightful! So sad I can't match the triggers... ExRate, please fix your molds! If they were initially 3D printed, reconsider a new base model for future success? I bought a few different mod sets to customize my PS5 plus it's two remotes, and my Switch to be more flashy. The Great Wave controller turned out exactly how I wanted it to, which gets to match my PS5! My Red controller, I wanted to give it some more flare without removing the red, so I went with changing black parts & buttons into the Blue/Purple chameleon - which seems fitting as I bought this controller when I was also picking up a copy of Guardians of the Galaxy, so it's unofficially my Starlord controller. My idea was the peaking blue/purple felt galactic in between the red. Well, upon finishing my modding for the red controller with the "chamo" kit, I had trouble with one of the trigger buttons. I somehow fixated it and went onto the other trigger. Noticing how much easier the second one fit, I went back to the one that gave me trouble to try to redo it. This time, I noticed that it's got a fraudulent print! In two of my included pics, I'm holding the official Dualsense R2 trigger, next to the ExRate R2... The little "trench" where the spring should lock in is in the opposite side of the trigger entirely. It's the only faulty piece I've come across. And it's essentially the only reason I'm putting four stars. Otherwise it's a solid five! I'm holding off on the fifth star for now because I contacted Amazon to get a replacement, and hoping this was a faulty batch and the next one will have exactly what I need. If not, I'd love to talk to the company to see for a final attempt. Otherwise, I stick to black triggers. But otherwise the rest of the Red Controller is also coming along just how I imaged it! Despite my having recieved a single button misprint, I bought six other mods for my PS5 from ExRate, plus an additional Great Wave kit for my Switch and joycons. So 99% of my entire project has been seamless, so I still highly recommend this product!! If I can get a proper chameleon R2 installed, I will come back to make it 5 stars! PS, ExRate, it would be lovely if you made Xbox shell kits too! Id love to give my Xbox a Great Wave shell too, and just go full ham on the theme! Read more
