really cool installation, it works great, a bit of experience needed but doable for beginners Read more
Always had great luck with extreme rate products was everything that it was supposed to be. The only downside I could say is usually depending on what product you’re buying expect a delay in the delivery time. Outside of that very straightforward product was exactly what was described no damage. And was the exact part that I purchased. So the reason for the four star review is literally because of the delivery outside of the extra time you have to wait to get it. Everything else is perfect. Read more
Instructions were very well documented and the videos are great. I was missing the little square black spacers for under the batter mount. I also had to add Grey spacers under the whole trigger assembly because they weren’t able to be depressed fully. I had to file down the button on the bottom of the paddle assembly so the button wasn’t stuck being held down. Other than those minor tweaks, the controller works flawlessly. Paddles were easy to program and the mouse click triggers feel amazing! Read more

I installed this on my stock Dual Sense controller that was pretty much new. The installation process wasn't too bad: there is an installation video that does a pretty good job of detailing the process, and as long as you go slow and follow the directions you should be fine. There is no soldering required... unless you think you will want to be able to map one of the rear buttons to L3/R3. In my case, I have no need for such a thing so I elected to skip this step. The only real difficulty I encountered was that the rear button on the right was not working when I finally got everything back together. After a bit of trial and error, I found that one of the screws holding the controller board to the back shell was a bit too tight. As soon as I loosened it up a turn or two, everything was clicking exactly as it was supposed to. Once everything was together, I was impressed with how well it works. I have a number of so-called Pro controllers so I do have a few others to make some comparisons with. I will focus on the DS Edge since that seems like the most logical controller to compare it to. This kit is a decent alternative if you already have a Dual Sense laying around. I actually prefer the clicky hair triggers on this vs the DS Edge. Other than that, I still prefer the DS Edge over this because the rear buttons just feel better to me. I also dislike that this kit is unfortunately not compatible with the official wireless charging dock (unlike the DS Edge). A real bummer as I have these for my controllers on my desk and now this one has no home... but I don't know that there would have been anything else they could have done so that's not really a knock against the design of this at all. I also like the rubberized grip on the back shell that this comes with. It feels very nice in my hands. All in all, this is a solid way to get yourself a good controller with rear buttons and hair triggers. I already LOVE the Dual Sense controllers, and with this installed, they are nearly perfect. This won't likely replace my DS Edge any time soon, but I am very impressed with it. It's pretty easy to recommend. I believe there is also a version of this with 4 back buttons instead of two, and I would probably prefer that. In fact, that WOULD actually put this above the DS Edge in my eyes. Maybe still not in feel (the ergonomics of the rear buttons on the DS Edge are absolutely perfection for me), but in use, I would love to have a Dual Sense with 4 rear buttons. Read more
