I love the idea of using a non-harsh, natural plant-based cleaner that is effective and it’s better for the environment. This FabTab starter set includes a clear glass bottle, a green silicone sleeve that fits over the bottom of the bottle to protect it, a spray nozzle, and three refill tabs. What surprised me most was that these individually wrapped tabs are fizzy and take quite a while to dissolve in water. Instructions are to fill up the bottle with lukewarm water and plop in a tab and allow it to dissolve (which takes about 30 minutes). So you can’t just grab this and use it right away; pre-planning is needed. The nozzle turns to foam, to mist, or to lock It closed. I love the ability to control whether it foams or mists – this is so much more convenient than the disposable bottles of other products. The product has a light and pleasant citrus scent to it. As far as how it cleans, if your home is already pretty well clean it will do great maintenance work. If you have grime that is set it or built up (like around the bottom of shower doors), I found this to be ineffective. This isn’t a miracle product, but it works for everyday light cleaning. Ever since the pandemic, my better half has been a clean freak around the house. And while that’s okay by me, I can’t stand the scent of bleach and harsh chemicals all over the place . I tried another brand of all natural that utilized a similar method of tab-in-water but that was largely unsuccessful. Some of the tabs only partially dissolved and the cleaning capabilities were overstated. Not helping matters, their included bottle was plastic and the tabs actually caused the pump mechanism to fail. This new set is from a company based out of Cyprus and they claim their tabs are free of harsh chemicals. Judging from the ingredient label, most of the tabs are composed of sodium derivatives and citric acid. I got the starter kit that contains a really nice glass spray bottle and 3 bathroom cleaner tabs, all nicely boxed. Instructions are straightforward – add lukewarm water to the bottle fill line, drop in a tab and let it sit for 30 minutes without the sprayer on. At least in my first (and only) test, the tab did indeed fizz and dissolve leaving a green tinted, lemony scented liquid. I say “only” above because a bottle of liquid will last you quite a while so I didn’t have a chance to try another. As for the scent, I describe it as lemony but it’s really hard to pin down. Pleasant without being overpowering. Does it clean? Yes, as far as I can tell since my place is already pretty much clean. I can also state it doesn’t leave any sticky residue or streaking behind, at least in my shower or toilet area. Added plus – it removed the calcium build-up on my shower head. I didn’t realize it could, but it did. Although listed as non-toxic it should be noted that it comes with a warning about fragrance allergens; however, my girlfriend (who is allergic to nearly everything) had no issues. As for pricing, there are a few discounts here and there, but it appears the replacements tabs run around $4 or so, but they do provide a whole bottle of cleaning agent so that isn’t really bad in the overall scheme of things, since I used roughly a quarter bottle to clean a large bathroom from top to bottom. I loved everything about this! The kit comes with a reusable glass spray bottle, three cleaning tabs, and a little booklet with instructions. The box graphics also give a simple overview of how to use the product. ☾ To use, you fill the bottle with lukewarm water, drop the tab in, and leave the spray nozzle off while it dissolves for 30 mins. It immediately started fizzing when it hit the water, and as it sank to the bottom, the water started turning soft green. When it was fully dissolved, it was a lovely bright green. ☾ It smells pleasantly citrusy. Exactly how I would want a clean bathroom to smell. ☾ This is great for general bathroom cleaning. It cleaned my bathroom counters, sink, toilet (not the bowl) , and dust/grime around my bathtub wonderfully. Don't expect it to clean tons of soap scum or anything that requires a specialized cleaner. This is obviously not meant for that. ☾ What really drew me to this was the bottle. I've tried other tablet based cleaners that had plastic or less functional/elegant bottles. This bottle is glass with a silicone grip at the bottom to keep it from getting knocked over (which is perfect since I'm so clumsy especially when cleaning), and the spray nozzle has different modes. One is more of a widespread mist, and the other is a more targeted powerful squirt. Overall I think this is a great, cost effective cleaning kit. The refill tabs aren't expensive, and you also get a discount if you subscribe for refills. Much cheaper than buying a new bottle of cleaner at the store each time you run out.
