Faber-Castell Ambition Ballpoint Pen - Walnut Wood

Gorgeous pen. The wood is little lighter in color than the uploaded image and is in my opinion more appealing. It is my first time buying a luxury pen so I cannot compare it to anything else but I can say i love it. It has a nice rollerball which writes very elegantly (limited only by my ability). The ink is very quick drying and I never have problems with smudging even though I am left handed. The only thing is that the pen feels a little unbalanced while writing with the pen cap on the butt of the pen. I prefer to write with the pen cap off for this reason. Read more

Construction quality of the pen is very good, and it writes as well as any high quality rollerball. The only thing I wish were different is the grip. There is a bit of a lip between the barrel and the tip. With my smaller hands, this is exactly where I prefer to hold a pen. But I still love it despite this fact. If it were a perfectly smooth transition between the two, this pen would be pretty much perfect, and I might not ever consider writing with anything else. Ever. Read more

I got this pen when it went on sale for $120, it was normal 175. I think $175 is a bit excessive for this brand and a rather simple looking pen. But i wanted to give my brother something meaningful for his graduation. the Coconut wood is nice and will remind him of his island heritage. Read more
