TLDR: This is good stuff, I know what I'm talking about, just buy it already. ------ this is my personal review. Your views may vary. Okey-dokey artichokey -------- I’ve been using the Facón Transparent Non-Foaming Clear Shave Gel, and it’s hands down the best shaving product I’ve encountered in my 12+ years of shaving with straight razors. ONE) It smells great. The blend of peppermint and sandalwood oils provides a refreshing and subtle scent that’s pleasant without being overpowering. Last thing I need is my shaving cream scent mucking with after shave mucking with whatever cologne I decide to go with. TWO) The gel is VERY easy to use. Its transparent nature offers visibility, which is a huge mega bonus, especially when I’m using my safety razor (long handle with butterfly open). It allows for precise shaving, ensuring I get the perfect trim every time. THREE) One of the most significant advantages is that it doesn’t irritate my skin. The soothing aloe vera and cooling menthol work wonders in preventing any post-shave irritation. FOUR) As someone with a beard, maintaining its shape and clean lines is crucial. This product has been superb in letting me do just that. The clear gel lets me see exactly where I’m shaving, making it incredibly easy to shape and define my beard. It provides an unmatched precision that I haven’t found in other products. My beard has never looked sharper and more well-maintained. Having tried a variety of shaving creams, from high-end Italian brands to mainstream commercial ones like Gillette, Nivea, and Barbasol, and even plain soap, this Facón shave gel beats them all. The extra glide it provides ensures a smooth and ultra-clean shave, making it a standout product in my grooming routine. If you’re looking for a high-quality shave gel that delivers on all fronts, I highly recommend the Facón Transparent Non-Foaming Clear Shave Gel. Read more

What attracted me to this product was the ingredients. I was slightly hesitant to buy because I know that Facon is known for making razor handles. Blades too if I’m not mistaken. Taking that into consideration my first assumption would be that the shave gel is just a secondary product for them to make some extra money off etc etc. But when I seen that this product is made up of mainly natural ingredients, I was sold. The more “well-known” barber product companies tend to put a lot of BS I never even heard of in their products. As a barber, I shy away from using products on my clients that I typically would not use on myself. No shade to the other companies, a lot of them have great products. But me myself, I like to keep my products as natural as possible, especially if I am using them constantly or my skin. And Facon hit it out the park with this product. Great ingredients, amazing smell that is not over bearing. The consistency of the gel itself feels great. I love the cool, tingly feeling from the mint, and the soothing effects of the aloe. I love the simplistic clean packaging and how it has squirt nozzle vs a pump. I waste a lot of product when using the shave gels that have a pump head on their packaging when I’m traveling with the product. I feel like this product is priced very good and I will definitely continue purchasing this shave gel. I am writing this long review because I feel that products like this deserve a little extra push and support from customers who value the efforts and thought put into making a product like this. So give this shave gel a shot, I promise you will fall in love with it. And if you are a barber your clients will love and appreciate it as well. Read more

A good shave gel, which I prefer to any shave soaps or aerosol shave creams. The smell is a nice menthol/eucalyptus flavor. The transparency is interesting, and not my favorite. I like a little color to see where I have already pulled the razor across my face. Overall good product though. Read more

Love this shave gel! It goes on clear so I can keep my beard lined up nice. It is slick and creates a comfortable shave. I use a safety razor, and this stuff works great. This is the second time I've purchased this product. Will purchase again when needed. Read more

This stuff is awesome. I was introduced to it by my barber. A little goes a long way, and it’s nice and transparent so you can see what you’re doing - no foam to get in the way. It’s great for line-ups. It smells nice and clean, not super strong. Makes shaving nice and easy. Leaves my skin feeling moisturized and soft. Read more

I picked up the Facon Transparent Shaving Gel mainly to shave my head, but it hasn’t been the best fit for that purpose. The gel is quite sticky when applied to the scalp, and I find myself needing to add water just to get the razor to glide smoothly. Without it, the shave feels a bit rough and tuggy. That said, it really shines when I use it to shape up my beard. The transparency is a big plus—it lets me see my hairline clearly, which helps with precise trimming and clean lines. For beard detailing, it’s actually pretty great. Pros: Transparent formula is great for visibility Works well for beard shaping and edging Pleasant scent and easy to rinse off Cons: Sticky texture on the scalp Requires extra water for a smooth head shave Not ideal for full-head shaving routines If you’re looking for a gel to help with beard maintenance, this could be a solid choice. But for head shaving, I’d recommend something with a smoother glide. Read more

I really enjoy the smell and how my skin feels after a good shave! I had never been a straight razor shaving person since I didnt know what to expect, but after using these for over a year, I discovered its but cheaper and nicer than multi blade razors. It takes some getting used to since I had no previous experience with straight razors before so there will be some nicks here and there, but I wouldn't/won't get away from this system that has been very satisfying for me!
