Nice little set of grooming scissors from Essbes. The two pair are in a matte black color and look classy. The gift box includes one pair with a slightly curved blade and sharp points (for cutting beards, mustaches, and body hair). The other pair with blunted tips for nose, lip or other delicate areas. The curved scissors worked great on my husband's beard. He had a several month growth and was mistaken for rip van winkle by one nurse and a member of zz top by myself. After clearing the brush with these moderately sharp scissors I gave him a quick shave, ripped the plastic salon cape off his hospital bed and voila! My husband had magically re-apprared. Both sets of scissors are comfortable and easy to use and fit my hands. Are these professional shears? No. Are they useful to have in the house? Heck yeah. These are a nice little set of grooming scissors for facial hair. They aren't the most sharp, or highest quality, but that's not really required for their intended purpose. Finger holes are adequately sized, and the scissors are comfortable enough to use. I actually use these on my cat's facial hair - to trim the hair under her eyes so that they hold less moisture, and they really seem to help. I appreciate the curved blades to get right in there and clip close to the skin, and the blunt safety ends should I need to clip closer to the eyes.
