Decent Cooling but Limited Power The FADACHY Portable Air Conditioner Fan is a handy gadget with voice control and a rechargeable battery, making it great for small spaces and travel. The four-speed settings provide decent airflow but don’t expect it to cool a room like a traditional AC. It works best as a personal fan, especially with the humidifier feature. However, the battery life could be better, and frequent refilling is needed for continuous cooling. Ideal for close-range use but not a full AC replacement. However, the aroma therapy tablet dispenser is tricky to remove and use. While the fan itself works well for small spaces, the design of the aroma feature could be more user-friendly. It takes effort to access and replace the tablets, which can be frustrating. A good option for personal cooling, but the aroma function needs improvement. Moreover, it only takes voice commands and does not have an on/off switch. So most of the time it starts automatically without giving any command. Read more

I'm afraid this wasn't a success for me. I liked the concept - I've used swamp coolers in the past that have been pretty effective in spaces where real air conditioning is too costly or difficult to install. But there are just too many little issues that add up on this to make it a real solution for me: - The fan makes odd noises. It revs up and back down rather than running at a constant speed, which I find super distracting, and the operation is far from silent. I have several other battery powered fans that work better as a fan. - The output is difficult to adjust. It only adjusts up and down, not side to side, and the adjustment is only about a 30 degree cone. You have to move the whole device to adjust side by side. There's no oscillation. - You cant tilt or rotate the unit overall because the water bucket isn't sealed at all, so if you invert it you'll just dump water all over the internals of the thing. It does come with a helpful sticker warning you about this, probably because others have accidentally done it. - The casing and construction is not made of premium materials - it's very plasticky and the water reservoir feels like it could snap each time I remove it. I do like the leather strap handle at the top, but that's not enough to counteract the rest. - The voice controls are absolutely goofy. There's no wake word, so anyone in earshot can say "Turn on fan. Turn on atomizer. Fourth gear!" to activate it. There really should be a disable switch for the voice controls, and also, nobody was asking for a voice controlled fan anyway. - The atomizer effect to cool the air more is the whole point of this unit, but it's really ineffective. It basically feels like they just embedded a tiny piezo humidifier/vaporizer inside the fan, and the amount of vapor that emits is so minimal I don't really notice a difference with it on or off in the first place. - The fan is only about as powerful as a 120mm computer case fan, but the size of the unit is much larger, the size of a school lunchbox. It's a lot of wasted space. All in all, I'd rather have a well-designed tower fan without the water functionality. I appreciate the goals here, it just doesn't seem to have landed as a whole package. This is a great cooling system for the bucks, the cool thing about it is that it has voice command to turn it on or off as well as raising the level of intensity. It has a small tank to fill with water and ice to generate the cool air. You can also remove the front net to add an aromatherapy which is included. Overall is a very interesting design that can be use in your office, living room or bedroom. I forgot to mentioned is very quiet. Read more

When I was a kid and most houses weren't air conditioned (small Texas town, 1960s) my grandmother had a swamp cooler. Water circulated and fell through basically screens, fans blew through it and put cooled water in the room. This fan is based on the same principle. It has several nice features, including: Easy to use, battery lasts a long time, multiple fan speeds, definitely cools the air, display shows how much batter is left, and it's well made. But there's one BIG problem. The voice activation picks up sound (from talking, television, music) and constantly turns itself on. Then you have to tell it to turn off or push the fan speed button to do it. I would MUCH MUCH rather have a simple button to turn it on and off without the voice control. Which obviously needs work. It's extremely annoying to have it turn itself on over and over and over. For that reason I give it three stars. I cannot recommend it beyond that. Read more
