These replacement shop light fixtures work great, and are very bright! Replaced our previous fluorescent fixtures which had stopped working a while back. Easy to install. I got this pair to replace a very old florescent fixture that was beginning to fail - standard two-tube with a big ballast. This set is at least as bright as the older light, but warmer in color. I would have preferred a cooler/whiter light, but this is plenty bright for a standard two-car garage. The installation was simple enough, just three wires: black - white - and green for ground. One thing to note is that this light fixture is fairly narrow. In fact the housing does not completely cover the hole in the ceiling for the wire box. The build quality is ok and the the fixture is fairly light in weight and can easily be mounted to the ceiling with the supplied hardware. I was not able to use the same mounting holes as the old lights but it the new ones are long enough to cover them. Just plan on drilling holes. Read more

Great product! We are very happy with these lighting units. We needed to replace some old style florescent style fixtures that consume a lot of electricity and dated the place. 48" x 5.3" they are sleek and narrow enough to update the old style wide unit that was around a foot wide and held 4 old tubes. The cover is just right, a light hard plastic that has a prismatic design and better quality than most lights at this price point. Read more

Great value. Light weight, so not challenging to install, even solo. I was able to hold the fixture up by its braided wire leads while making the connections. Looks a lot like a tube fixture but is actually strips of LEDs inside. Plenty bright, ideal for garage or shop. For mounting flush to ceiling. Comes with all the hardware needed to attach to ceiling. Only thing I dislike is leads from inside fixture can only reach the center hole. If you wish to use a hole at either end of the fixture for the wiring, you'll need to extend the leads. That's what I had to do for one of them. There's no way to conceal the extended leads so they are visible through the diffuser. I'm hoping I can make it disappear using white vinyl electrical tape. The diffusers are a bit challenging to attach, but since there are no lamps to replace, it's not a big deal. Great value, definitely less expensive than what I was seeing in home improvement stores. Easy install. Flexible lighting options. Installed these in my son’s kitchen as a surprise to replace his aging fluorescent fixtures. Plastic covers are a little too long, as reported in the comments. Simply bend one of the ends of the metal on the fixture out a bit. Place one side of the edge of the plastic in the groove of the fixture and pinch the lens a bit to snap into the other groove. The lights are installed behind a second lens for my son, so the fixtures themselves are not visible. Light quality and intensity can be adjusted somewhat to your taste. They were very easy to install, other than my garage ceiling was 14' up so it took a tall ladder to reach them. Took about 30 mins to install both including taking down the previous fixtures. These lights are very bright and to me are a great value for the price. You can see the wires in the middle, but depending on whether there is a box in the ceiling above the mount, you can probably push the wires back up in there to hide them. Overall, I'm very happy with these and plan to get 4 more for my storage room and also a bonus room. Read more

Put these lights up in my garage 5 years ago, replacing a pair of 60w incandescents. Lightweight, easy to install, looked great, and very bright. A huge improvement to what I had. I noticed a few months ago that the diffusers were coming apart, and today one of the diffusers let go completely falling to the concrete floor and shattering. Not exactly the outcome I had hoped for when I made the purchase, since now both of them need to be replaced. These were 5 star lights for 5 years. Now, not so much. Read more
