This is NOT an “AC.” It is a gigantic glorified fan. It does not alter the overall temperature of the space. It will provide cooling, but ONLY if you’re sitting directly in front of it (which is what a FAN does). Huge regret purchasing this item, don’t make the same mistake! Read more

It is a big fan! Even after putting in the ice packs and filling the tank with cold water out of the fridge, this does not cool...except the fan does help. But if you are looking for an AC, buy something else. Read more

Here's the issue: It's my first evaoprative air cooler ever, so I'm not exactly sure how the freezing containers are supposed to work, nor can I tell how much water, if any, I needed to add. The manual is NO help - it's clear I need to add water but how much? there's a so-called gauge at the bottom, but you cannot tell the water limit at all. I added gallon after gallon but still cannot see anything, so it feels like I need to do calculations and who knows how precise that'll be once I need to add more water - how much is in there? I don't know. The chinglish guide shows a cup measurer to illustrate adding water - so I guess they want you to go back and forth 128 times? Really? Likewise other areas that are documented is hard to understand or at least to get a clear understanding of. There are 4 cooling elements, but only 3 will fit a the same time if they're supposed to lie flat. I'm going with only using 2 at a time, but the guide definitely do not state how you're suppoed to place them if you wanted 4 to fit. I'm also not looking forward to the day I need to empty it. Clearly you need to put the unit in a place with a drain so you can open it and the water will go from the holder through the drain. For me that means I need to put this into a bathtub. But it's working - the air coming out is cooler than the air I get from a traditional fan, and that's what I wanted. I just turned it on, so I don't know anything about how long it'll last and work. Three weeks into use of the unit it just wouldn't power up with or without the remote. Nothing. I phoned the company the customer service rep said sometimes in shipping a sensor or part becomes displaced ( ????) Received an order number and an email stating a replacement would be sent. I voiced my concerns that if the unit was fragile to shipping how do I know same thing wouldn't occur with replacement. I preferred my money back. They were sending unit anyway.... Received replacement, powers up but air out not as cold as first unit was when it worked. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT Read more

Genuinely this is just a big fan. An overpriced one at that. Cannot recommend as a portable AC device. Read more
