I live in a pretty hot humid place, but I find that this little cooling tower really does make a difference, especially at night. It doesn't work miracles, but it definitely blows cool air and makes it easier to sleep on hot nights. Cooling my house below 70 in the summer is also too expensive. :( So I bought myself this fan. It’s working for what I wanted - a cooler spot within my air conditioned house. I actually got too cold the other day when I was sitting still with it blowing directly on me. It was about 4 feet away from me, on speed “4” and I did not have the ice packs in; the A/C in the house was set at 73 at the time. So I’m happy. It’s fairly quiet. I really wanted to like this product and for it to be the ticket for us…I was in need of a unit that would keep my husband’s small bedroom cool…he is bedbound and his bedroom stays warmer than the rest of the house…unless you constantly keep ice in it , this thing is no more just an overpriced fan that doesn’t blow all that well either….and then it started leaking…I did get my money back…but the point being, I messed around with this thing continually putting ice water and the ice blocks in the reservoir and it would cool for about thirty minutes and once the water warmed up then it stopped cooling….more trouble than it is worth Read more

I was very disappointed by our product. It did keep our room very cool like it was supposed to. It stopped working about 25 days later. We simply wanted an exchange but it did not give this option. It made us return it and purchase a new one. The issue is the price went up by 40.00. So we have to pay an extra 40 bucks to purchase the product after it was defective. I work in a small office with no ac and have this cooler beside me. It actually feels great being a couple feet away obviously the farther back you get the effect would be reduced. I bought one of the "like new" units to save quite a bit of money and it didnt come with the remote which is fine for me but something to consider. Read more

This product worked the best out-of the other items I have purchased in the past. Room was 87 degrees within 30 minutes it dropped temp in room 10 degrees and dropped even more. Putting together was rather easy, and it definitely is cooling and works great. The only issue I have is the water runs out very fast and is kind of a hassle, but if ur using it casually just for air flow it’s perfect! And if ur using it for actual 100 degree days just know it won’t cool a whole room but if it’s right in front of you it does the trick. I think it’s cute and blends in well too. Read more
