Bought this after switching from the hardshell style of case. Thought nothing of it until I got it and turns out once I put it on my PlayStation Portal it gives me the Classic Portal vibes. Easy to put on, stays clean, you have to adjust around the screen a little but nothing major. Read more

I'm usually not a fan of silicone cases, but I wanted to protect my white Portal from getting dirty and this was a simple solution. The case is a good fit with all the opening in the right place, but putting it on was a little rough. I thought it was going to tear. It's a little loose around the screen. Biggest criticism is the textured grip. I can feel each one pressing into my hand and it's not exactly the most comfortable feeling. Maybe I'll get used to it so for now I'll keep it on. I have never been a fan of silicone cases on anything due to the feel. However, the raised bumps on the handles makes this a very comfortable case for the PS Portal. The case itself was fairly easy to put on (there are no instructions, so use the photos from the seller). At first I was leery about pulling the case so hard to get it over the handle grips and the control knobs, but the case is stronger than it appears. Sorry, I'm not going to drop test it, but it will definitely keep the Portal free from scratches and dirt. All in all, it is a nice cover and will serve its purpose well. The cutouts for the buttons, microphone, headphone jack, and charging port are all well cut and will not hinder any operation or access. The rubber knob covers feel sturdy on the knobs and are easiest to put on if you invert them and roll them onto the control knobs (anyone who has used grips before will understand this). My storage case (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CLGVBHCB?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2) holds the portal well even with the silicone case on it, so I am please with that too. Why did you pick this product vs others?: My son was looking for a protective cover for his PlayStation Portal and we decided to try this one. It has many pros, it feels good in your hands, it does offer some protection and it goes on relatively easy. But it has one big con.... The silicone cover attracts hair. And when you have three dogs that shed a ton (so much that you will see tumbleweeds of dog hair in our house) that is a huge problem. The PS Portal is huge and in a child's hands it seems likely that someone might end up dropping it while playing. This sleeve is a little bit of insurance to keep that investment in good condition. The sleeve goes on relatively easily, but you will have to tug on the silicone to get a good fit. I don't think this is something that you'll want to take on and off many times - although the material does feel like it should hold up. You will have to put in a little effort to get it around the handles. In terms of protection I think this is good protection against minor drops. I wouldn't go tossing it off of a ladder, but a drop from the sofa seems likely to be fine. Playing games with the grip installed is actually quite nice. The hand hold areas have a nice textured grip that makes it easier to hold onto. I can see myself putting many hours on my Portal and now will have a little more piece of mind. Read more
